Introduction / Overview: Your Perfect Lakes Region Basecamp
Welcome to Hunter's Run RV Park, one of the premier camping destinations nestled in the heart of New Hampshire’s picturesque Lakes Region. Located in the charming town of Meredith, this resort offers a balanced blend of natural, wooded privacy and modern, amenity-rich convenience. It's the ideal spot for local New Hampshire residents looking for an accessible, yet deeply refreshing, escape without having to travel far from home.
Hunter's Run RV Park has built a reputation for providing a clean, friendly, and family-oriented environment. As one dedicated local camper shared, it's "One of my favorite campgrounds in New Hampshire. Always clean and tidy. Very affordable the sites are spread out far enough so you're not on top of each other. But there's still a nice feeling of community. Highly recommend." This sentiment perfectly captures the park's ethos: spacious, private sites that still foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere among fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
Having expanded from two former campgrounds (Meredith Woods and Clearwater), Hunter's Run now offers a diverse array of accommodations to suit every camping style, from rustic tenters to large RV travelers, all while enjoying the scenic beauty of Pemigewasset Lake.
Location and Accessibility: A Prime Spot on NH-104
Hunter's Run RV Park boasts a prime location in Meredith, New Hampshire, a well-known jewel of the Lakes Region. The campground’s address, 551 NH-104, positions it strategically for easy access. Route 104 is a major connector that quickly links campers to Interstate 93 (I-93) via Exit 23, making the drive incredibly simple for residents traveling from southern or central New Hampshire.
This enviable spot places you mere minutes from the bustling downtown area of Meredith, famous for its quaint shops, local restaurants, and the stunning shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. Simultaneously, the park provides direct access to the more secluded Pemigewasset Lake, giving local visitors the best of both worlds: quiet lakeside relaxation and close proximity to major regional attractions. The accessibility makes it an excellent choice for short weekend trips, allowing New Hampshire families to maximize their time relaxing rather than driving.

Aug 27, 2025 · jeremy hartsonI've been coming here for years. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Front desk (I didn't get her name) always had a smile! Love that they removed the daily fees for wifi (but need to upgrade for better coverage). Lake and beach area was clean and well maintained as were the playgounds. Only recommendation I would add is a privacy fence up near lots 217 & 215 so the maintenance area isn't visible. I also loved the virtual map that now allows you to see the available of dates and particular lots.
Jun 30, 2025 · Janice MorinWe used to love to come to this campground years ago when they maintained it better. The beach was the best part, always raked am and pm- now there’s weeds, acorns, sticks, lake gunk and trash blowing around. The little store is never open for treats/ equipment rentals. The safety ring is teethered and worn and broken and was in the wood before we put it where it should be. Poison ivy surrounding the weathered playgrounds. Seems like the new owners don’t care to help it thrive and or at least maintain it to be the same. There are no cute events like craft nights for kids or sandcastles on sunday’s anymore. We used to be proud and love to visit here, now it’s embarrassing and not a place I will recd to my friends unless things change!
Jun 22, 2025 · Thomas DormanI love this place! I would have given it 5 stars but the section where we stayed at their office/store was always closed. We had to drive to get ice every time. And when we showed they didn't do a thorough job with cleaning so my husband and I stepped in dog poop and there was poop all over our RV tires. But the place is fabulous. Spacious, wooded sites. There's a pool and a lake to swim. All kinds of things to keep you busy. There's a trail to hike and a dog park for your dog. There's a public boat launch just yards away to a beautiful lake. And it's close to Weirs Beach and all those family fun places. We will definitely be back again.
Aug 06, 2025 · Christine MurrayWe used to really like Hunter’s Run when it was called Meredith Woods and was privately owned. Since it was bought by Modern America Campgrounds it has gone downhill. While the sites are spacious and mostly private, and bathrooms are generally clean, the pool is not maintained as it once was, and the customer service is terrible. You now have to pay the full amount due when making the reservation and the cancellation policy is very strict. They will not work with you in case of an emergency and you end up losing the full amount paid. In addition, the prices have gone up significantly. I can no longer recommend this campground and I will NEVER stay at a Modern America campground again.
