Jaymar Travel Park is conveniently located at 140 Jaymar Park Dr, Hendersonville, NC 28792, USA. This address places it within the charming and popular city of Hendersonville, a highly desirable destination in Western North Carolina. Hendersonville is renowned for its vibrant downtown, apple orchards, vineyards, and its position as a gateway to the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains.

For North Carolina residents, accessibility to Jaymar Travel Park is straightforward. Hendersonville is well-connected by major roadways, including Interstate 26, which provides direct links to larger cities like Asheville to the north and Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the south. This makes the park easily reachable from various parts of North Carolina, whether you're coming from the Triangle area, Charlotte, or other Western NC towns. Once you arrive in Hendersonville, navigating to Jaymar Park Drive should be simple, leading directly to the park entrance.

The park's location offers a fantastic balance of peaceful seclusion while remaining "near anything you need or want to do." This means guests can enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the park, surrounded by nature and mountain views, yet still have quick and easy access to Hendersonville's shops, restaurants, cultural attractions, and outdoor recreational opportunities. Its position makes it an excellent home base for exploring the diverse offerings of the surrounding region, from scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway to hiking trails, local breweries, and much more. The convenience of being able to quickly access amenities and activities, then return to a calm and clean environment, is a significant draw for local RV owners seeking both adventure and relaxation.

Jaymar Travel Park, while described as "nothing fancy," focuses on providing fundamental services that ensure a comfortable, clean, and convenient stay for its guests, particularly those with RVs or small vacation trailers. The emphasis is on practicality and a pleasant atmosphere rather than extensive resort-style amenities. Based on customer feedback, the following services are available:

  • RV and Small Vacation Trailer Sites: The park is specifically designed for guests who "bring your RV or own one of the small vacation trailers." This indicates dedicated sites equipped with necessary hookups, which typically include electricity, water, and sewer connections. These essential services enable comfortable living in an RV.
  • Pet-Friendly Environment: A significant service offered is its pet-friendly nature. This is a crucial consideration for many RV owners who travel with their furry companions.
  • Dedicated Dog Area: Going beyond just being pet-friendly, the park provides a "large area for dogs to run or do their business." This dedicated space is a valuable service for pet owners, ensuring their animals have room to exercise and that the rest of the park remains clean and pleasant for all guests.
  • Cleanliness: The park is highlighted as "very clean." While not a physical amenity, cleanliness is a vital service that contributes significantly to guest comfort and satisfaction, reflecting diligent park maintenance.
  • Quiet Atmosphere: The park is consistently described as a "nice quiet place to stay." This indicates a conscious effort or natural layout that promotes peace and minimizes noise, which is a key service for guests seeking relaxation.
  • Proximity to Local Amenities: While not an on-site service, the strategic location "near anything you need or want to do" acts as an indirect service, providing guests with easy access to groceries, dining, attractions, and other necessities and leisure activities in Hendersonville.

While reviews don't detail extensive common facilities like clubhouses or pools, the focus is clearly on providing well-maintained sites and a welcoming environment for RVers and their pets.

Jaymar Travel Park distinguishes itself with several key features and highlights that resonate strongly with its target audience of North Carolina RV and small vacation trailer owners. These attributes contribute to its appeal as a preferred peaceful retreat:

  • Peaceful and Quiet Atmosphere: The most frequently praised feature is its tranquility. Described as a "nice quiet place to stay," the park offers a true escape from noise and commotion. This creates an ideal environment for relaxation, reading, or simply enjoying nature without disturbance.
  • Exceptional Cleanliness: Guests consistently note that the park is "very clean." This reflects well on the management's dedication to upkeep and ensures a pleasant and comfortable environment for all visitors. Cleanliness is a fundamental aspect of a positive camping experience.
  • Prime Location with Accessibility: While quiet, its location is "near anything you need or want to do." This means campers get the best of both worlds: a serene base camp with quick and easy access to Hendersonville's vibrant downtown, shopping, dining, and the numerous outdoor activities available in the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
  • Pet-Friendly with Dedicated Dog Area: For RV owners traveling with pets, Jaymar Travel Park is a standout. It's not just pet-friendly but offers a "large area for dogs to run or do their business." This dedicated space is a significant convenience and a thoughtful amenity for animal lovers, ensuring both pets and their owners have a comfortable stay.
  • Beautiful Mountain Views: The park boasts a "Beautiful area with Mountain Views." Waking up to or relaxing with stunning vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains enhances the overall experience, providing a constant connection to the natural beauty of Western North Carolina.
  • Focus on RV and Small Vacation Trailers: The park caters specifically to RVs and small vacation trailers. This specialization ensures that the facilities and layout are well-suited to the needs of this type of traveler, rather than being a mixed-use campground that might not fully cater to RV requirements.
  • "Nothing Fancy, But All You Need": While not explicitly stated as a feature, the "Nothing fancy" comment implies a focus on core essentials rather than excessive, unused amenities. This can be a highlight for campers who prefer a straightforward, functional, and value-oriented experience without paying for features they won't use.

As a local, privately-owned travel park, Jaymar Travel Park may not run large-scale public "promotions" in the way a national chain might. However, its inherent value proposition and guest-centric approach can be seen as an ongoing "special offer" for North Carolina RV and vacation trailer owners. The park's commitment to providing a clean, quiet, and convenient experience at a fair price is its primary promotional strategy, leading to high guest satisfaction and repeat visits.

  • Consistent Value for Money: The emphasis on being "nothing fancy" yet "very clean" and "quiet" suggests that the park focuses on delivering core value without unnecessary frills. This translates to a cost-effective stay for guests who prioritize a peaceful and well-maintained site over extensive amenities they might not use. For budget-conscious North Carolina campers, this consistent value acts as a continuous "promotion."
  • Pet-Friendly with Dedicated Space: For the significant number of RV owners who travel with pets, the explicit pet-friendly policy combined with a "large area for dogs to run" is a major draw. This specific amenity, often hard to find, serves as a unique "special offer" for pet owners, making their stay much more comfortable and convenient.
  • Location as a Benefit: The park's location, being "near anything you need or want to do" in Hendersonville, is an inherent advantage that saves guests time and travel costs. It allows them to maximize their enjoyment of the local area without long commutes, effectively "offering" more convenience and less hassle.

It is a nice quiet place to stay. Near anything you need or want to do. Very clean. Nothing fancy. You bring your RV or own one of the small vacation trailers. Beautiful area with Mountain View’s and pet friendly. Has a large area for dogs to run or do their business.

The self-appointed weirdo sheriff of the trailer park made two attempts to illegally detain me because he felt that I should be driving at walking speed. Peepaw is very lucky that he did not find himself in the back of a police vehicle because I had much better things to to, but watch out for him, he's not the brightest bulb.

In-laws have a permanent camper up here. We don’t often but always enjoy staying here. Everyone is always so friendly and they have a large area for pets, it’s not fenced so no off leash.

FYI... We checked in at Jaymar Travel Park 10/30. We presented our Good Sam membership card and it had expired by a few days. Our Good Sam membership was in ACTIVE status, paid in full, but the new card had not been mailed. We were told that if we presented the correct card we could get the discount. Good Sam emailed us our updated card the same day, we presented it to the office and they wouldn't honor it. The reason given, "Has to be presented at the time of check in." We were told that we would get the discount if we could prove membership. As a RV Dealer and Rental Company we want to share our experience. Many of you join Good Sam for the discounts... this location DID NOT honor ours based on a "sticking point". This is not a GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE!

We visit Hendersonville annually in the Fall. I've stayed at Jaymar each year in our RV for over 6 years. It's a great park. Rest rooms and laundry are very clean and well kept. Management is friendly and helpful. Location is super and the park is quite with good hard stand.
