A beautiful place to snowshoe. Follow one of the trails or blaze your own. We had the special treat of stumbling upon a flock of Cedar Waxwing (birds) today. Park at the horse trailer parking lot off of homestead trail road (between County Rd 6 and County Rd 24). Even if there are cars in the lot, chances are you won’t see many people as the park is large and there are many trails from which to choose. Most of the terrain is flat with occasional gentle hills. A nice perk: the horse trailer lot offers an outhouse that is kept clean.
Feb 26, 2023 · Thomas AlbinsonWe have had several scouting events at Lake Katrina Group Campsite. There is a picnic shelter with tables and grills that work well for gatherings and bathroom facilities. There are several grassy level spaces for games, ceremonies, and camping that are relatively close for even little legs to travel. No playground, but plenty of nature and a fire ring.
