Lake Holcombe Lions Campground About

For Wisconsin locals seeking a genuine outdoor experience with direct access to one of the state's most beautiful recreational lakes, Lake Holcombe Lions Campground offers an ideal retreat. Located at 28831 271st St, Holcombe, WI 54745, this campground is celebrated for its natural charm and the sheer beauty of Lake Holcombe. While it embraces a more rustic approach to camping, eschewing full electrical hookups at every site, its well-kept grounds, excellent swimming beach, and prime location on the lake more than compensate for these omissions, making it a beloved destination for many.

As Wisconsin residents, we know the value of clean water and inviting recreational areas. Lake Holcombe Lions Campground delivers on this front, as one satisfied camper enthusiastically shared: "One of the best campgrounds in the area. Nice clean water and Sandy bottom. Great all around recreational lake." This emphasis on the lake's quality and its suitability for various water activities is a significant draw. Another reviewer echoed this sentiment, stating, "Although no power at the campground, the well kept grounds, awesome swimming, fishing, and boating area along with the lakes natural beauty make up for it more than enough." This highlights that the campground's natural assets far outweigh any lack of modern amenities, appealing to those who prefer a more authentic outdoor experience.

The commitment to cleanliness is also a recurring theme in visitor feedback. Even with "typical outhouses with no plumbing," a visitor noted that the restrooms are "clean," and the park overall is "maintained well and kept very clean." This dedication to cleanliness ensures a comfortable and pleasant stay, allowing campers to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. For anyone in Wisconsin looking for a straightforward, serene, and nature-focused camping adventure, Lake Holcombe Lions Campground is a highly recommended choice, offering a true taste of lakeside tranquility.

Was here only briefly and not part of any social activity or group. Park is maintained well and kept very clean. Restrooms are typical outhouses with no plumbing but clean. Quite a few docks are available to tie up watercraft.

Stayed 4 nights. The first three were miserable because of the dozen or so campers next to us that were yelling and playing loud music into the morning hours. This campground needs a person to remind campers to be courteous to each other or a sign with the quite hours. There is no management on this property when camping. You are better off calling the police. If you camp here, you are rolling the dice on how well behaved your neighbors are. If you want even a little peace and quiet at night, good luck!
