This article aims to provide a comprehensive and factual overview of Lake Time Campground and Landing, drawing on available public information and customer feedback to offer a balanced perspective. We will explore its location and accessibility, the services it likely provides, its key features, and why it might be the ideal choice for your next long-term or short-term stay by Lake Robinson in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Lake Time Campground and Landing is prominently located at 1540 Easterling Landing Rd, Hartsville, SC 29550, USA. This address places it directly adjacent to the beautiful Lake Robinson, a significant highlight for any water enthusiast in South Carolina. Hartsville, a charming town in Darlington County, offers a blend of natural beauty, local amenities, and a strong community presence.
The most notable aspect of its location is its direct proximity to Lake Robinson. Being "next to Lake Robinson" and "on a very large property on the lake" means unparalleled access for boating, fishing, and enjoying lakeside views. For South Carolinians who own boats, jet skis, or simply love water activities, this direct access can be a significant convenience, eliminating the need for long hauls to public ramps. Easterling Landing Road suggests a quiet, less-trafficked route leading directly to the lakefront property, enhancing the sense of a peaceful retreat.
From a broader accessibility standpoint, Hartsville is well-connected by major state highways, including US-15, US-401, and SC-151. These routes provide straightforward access from various parts of South Carolina, such as Florence, Columbia, and even the coastal regions. This ensures that while the campground offers a serene, natural setting, it remains within reasonable driving distance for many South Carolina residents. Within Hartsville, campers will find easy access to grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies, and a selection of local restaurants and shops, ensuring that all essential needs are met during their stay. This blend of remote, lakefront tranquility and convenient access to town amenities makes Lake Time Campground and Landing an appealing choice for South Carolina RVers.
Based on reviews and the nature of an RV park and landing, Lake Time Campground and Landing likely offers the following services, though specific details may vary:
It is important to note a review's specific mention of "The bathrooms are disgusting. And there are absolutely no amenities," which directly contrasts with another review's praise for cleanliness. This highlights the importance of potential guests verifying current conditions directly with the campground. The review also mentions a per-person charge for entry even without using a boat, and additional fees for launching.
A contrasting review states "absolutely nothing to offer" in terms of amenities, aside from lake access. It also describes "money-hungry" employees/owners who followed the reviewer, implying a negative experience regarding payment and access. This indicates that while the location is a highlight, potential guests should clarify all charges and policies upfront.
Given the contrasting nature of the reviews, and the implication of a direct fee structure for access and services, Lake Time Campground and Landing may not typically run extensive or publicly advertised promotional offers in the traditional sense. Its value proposition likely rests on its prime lakefront location and its suitability for longer-term RV stays.
However, it is common for RV parks that accommodate extended visits to offer tiered pricing:
Prospective guests, especially South Carolina locals considering a stay, are strongly advised to contact Lake Time Campground and Landing directly via the provided phone numbers. It is crucial to inquire about all applicable fees (per person, per boat launch, site fees), current availability, specific amenities, and any potential long-term stay discounts to ensure a clear understanding before arrival. For residents of South Carolina, Lake Time Campground and Landing in Hartsville offers a unique set of features that could make it a highly suitable option, particularly for those with specific priorities. While opinions on amenities and management approach vary, its core strengths appeal directly to certain local needs.
The most compelling reason for South Carolinians to consider this campground is its direct and extensive access to Lake Robinson. For local boat owners, jet ski enthusiasts, or avid fishermen, the ability to launch and stay on a "very large property on the lake" is an unparalleled convenience. This eliminates the hassle of public ramps and provides immediate access to cherished water recreation, a lifestyle deeply valued across the state.
Secondly, for South Carolinians needing a stable base for an extended period, such as those on temporary work assignments in the Hartsville area, the park's clear accommodation for "a month" or longer stays is a significant benefit. The review praising the "friendly" owners who keep the "place very clean and secure" further bolsters its appeal as a reliable long-term solution. This offers a sense of stability and peace of mind that many transient workers or long-term travelers seek.
However, it is crucial for locals to manage expectations. The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of direct communication. If the primary goal is direct lake access for water sports and a secure, long-term RV parking spot, and a willingness to understand all associated fees upfront, then Lake Time Campground and Landing could be an excellent fit. For South Carolinians prioritizing a quiet, clean, and secure base by the water, especially for extended stays, this campground holds considerable appeal, offering a practical solution for living and recreation in the beautiful Hartsville region.

Unfortunately, the place has absolutely nothing to offer. They charge $5.00 per person, plus if you're launching a boat or jet ski, it's an additional $10.00. That's fine as long as there are amenities. But just for getting wet in a lake. The bathrooms are disgusting. And there are absolutely no amenities. Add to this the fact that the employees or owners are money-hungry. I asked to go in to look at the amenities, and they followed me worse than a dog. I'm almost certain it was because I didn't pay. They only stayed there for about five minutes. Add to this the fact that it's not the season. The place is practically empty. I understand it's private property, but if you asked for permission to go and observe, at least give me 30 minutes. But they're not interested in that; they're interested in the money. For my part, I won't return to this place.
Mar 31, 2025 · Orlando RodriguezNice place to stay in your RV! It is located approximately six miles from Hartsville, next to Lake Robinson. It is on a very large property on the lake. There are lots of places in this area to stay, but I was glad I chose this place. The owners live on site and are very friendly. They keep the place very clean and secure. I stayed here for a month while I was working in the area. I would stay here if I'm ever in the area again.
Nov 08, 2023 · Ronnie HighsmithThis place is friendly to RVs while this place is not perfect, new ownership is slowly improving the experience. This place is very quiet during the winter and fall months when weather turns colder. Now during the weekends during the spring and summer it can get crowded people swimming and having fun, but ownership will run people off around 6pm with people that are camping might be loud but again ownership will handle it accordingly. If you are in a RV, you will be kinda away from it all with providing 30 and 50 amp sites when available, which is good. They have a pavilion that they are redoing with a little store and little game room with pool tables and vending machines, boat ramp, rented paddle boats. If you are coming for a weekend or staying for work which I do, give it a go. About 5 min away from a dollar general and 10 min away from downtown Hartsville, plus a lake view. I have been in this area for about a year and a half traveling for work in a RV and here at laketime for about 5 months, you could do alot worse believe me.
Jul 05, 2024 · Rob ThompsonIt's nice but not very well controlled. Staff are nor paying attention. People are getting drunk and throwing beer bottles and caps in the water where kids swim. We picked up a lot of glass out of the water. Thankful we weren't hurt.
