It's a spot where family memories are made, often against the stunning backdrop of Lake Huron, and where the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. As one happy camper noted, "We had a fantastic time and made some wonderful family memories! We definitely plan on making this one of our annual camping spots in our Camper." This sentiment perfectly captures the inviting atmosphere that awaits you.

What truly sets Lakeshore RV Campground apart, beyond its prime location, is the dedication of its team. "Emily and the staff here are absolutely amazing and were so accommodating during our stay here," highlights the kind of service that makes a vacation truly special. Coupled with convenient amenities like a complimentary ferry shuttle to Mackinac Island and unique lodging options like adorable yurts, Lakeshore RV Campground provides an ideal base for exploring all that the St. Ignace area and the wider Upper Peninsula have to offer. It's more than just an RV park; it’s a community where every guest feels welcomed and valued.

Location and Accessibility

Lakeshore RV Campground is advantageously located at W1234 Pointe Labarbe Rd, St Ignace, MI 49781, USA. This prime Upper Peninsula address places it strategically along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron, offering direct and often stunning views of the water. Its proximity to St. Ignace means campers have easy access to the charming town's amenities, dining options, and, most importantly, the ferry docks that transport visitors to the iconic Mackinac Island.

Accessibility to the campground is straightforward, especially for those traveling in RVs. Pointe Labarbe Road is well-maintained and easily navigable from major routes connecting to St. Ignace, such as I-75 and US-2. This ensures a hassle-free arrival for even the largest rigs. While the campground is situated across a two-lane road from the immediate waterfront, as one review mentions, "Water views are across a two-lane," many sites still offer excellent sightlines to the lake, providing that coveted 'lakeshore' experience. The convenient layout of the park allows for easy maneuvering and parking of RVs, contributing to a stress-free setup upon arrival.

Beyond road access, a significant highlight of Lakeshore RV Campground's location is its connectivity to Mackinac Island. Shepler's Ferry, a major ferry service to the island, provides a "free shuttle here and back so you can leave your RV here," directly from the campground. This service is an immense convenience, eliminating the need to drive and park at the often-crowded ferry docks in St. Ignace, making day trips to Mackinac Island seamless and enjoyable for campers.

Furthermore, the campground's position acts as an excellent base for exploring the wider Upper Peninsula. Day trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, or even crossing the Mackinac Bridge for attractions in the Lower Peninsula are all easily achievable from this central St. Ignace location. This combination of scenic beauty, road accessibility, and direct connection to key attractions makes Lakeshore RV Campground highly desirable for Michigan RVers.

Clean bathrooms/showers could use a face-lift. Water views are across a two-lane. If you're going to Makinac Island Sheplers ferry provides free shuttle here and back so you can leave your RV here.

Beautiful area across Lake Michigan and our site was wonderful due to our large 43 ft RV and plenty of room to park the car behind us. A nice walk to the lake with benches and picnic tables. Our labs loved to swim in the lake. The gals in office very friendly and personable. We would definitely come again for another week stay.

Nice place to stop for a rest or stay for a week. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean well run camp ground. I did not use the bath house but they were a little dated. The laundry is small but efficient. Full hookups are available with 30/50 amp service. Sites are a little on the small size but there were plenty of big rigs present. There are tent sites available and a few yurts too. There’s no pool or playground but that’s what Lake Michigan is for! The water is crystal clear and felt quite warm. There’s a free shuttle to the ferry to get over to Mackinac Island. Many sites were pull thru. Not all sites have unobstructed views to the lake, but there is a beautiful field in the front of the campground that offers everyone a view. I hope to return!
