Lakeview RV Park is strategically located at 5640 Twin Buttes Marina Park Rd, San Angelo, TX 76904, USA. This address places it just a "couple minutes to town/stores/restaurants" in San Angelo, yet simultaneously positions it "right on the outskirts" where you are "surrounded by serene nature." This balance of convenient access to urban necessities and a peaceful, natural setting is a significant advantage for RVers.
For Texans, the accessibility to San Angelo is key. San Angelo is a vibrant city in West Texas, offering a range of amenities from major grocery stores like H-E-B to a variety of restaurants and shopping options. Being only minutes away means guests can easily run errands or enjoy a night out without lengthy commutes. Crucially, the park's location ensures "no traffic or crime," contributing to the overall sense of security and tranquility that many RVers seek.
The park’s proximity to Twin Buttes Marina Park Road is not just a geographical detail; it's a major highlight for outdoor enthusiasts. Guests have the unique opportunity to "walk/jog/hike/bike/kayak around the trails and adjacent marina nearly everyday." This provides immediate access to extensive recreational activities, allowing locals to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area, including enjoying "beautiful view of the twin peaks right outside our main window." The location truly merges the best of both worlds: the peace of a natural setting with the convenience of a nearby city, making it an ideal base for exploring San Angelo and its surrounding natural wonders.
Lakeview RV Park San Angelo TX focuses on providing core, high-quality services that are essential for a comfortable RV experience, particularly catering to those seeking long-term or work-related stays. The park's "no frills" approach means it intentionally foregoes some common amenities to maintain affordability and focus on what truly matters to many RVers.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The park offers very large and spacious RV sites with full hookups, including reliable 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. These sites are described as "humongous" and "level," making parking and setup "zero trouble" even for big rigs. The generous spacing ensures privacy, meaning "no chilling outside by your neighbors hookups."
- Excellent Wi-Fi: A standout feature highly praised by guests, the park provides "excellent WiFi." This is particularly beneficial for remote workers, travel nurses, or anyone who relies on a strong internet connection for communication and entertainment.
- Responsive and Accommodating Ownership: Kirby, the owner, is consistently described as "super responsive and accommodating." This hands-on and friendly management style ensures that guest needs are addressed promptly and effectively, contributing to a positive experience.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: While not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews regarding specific rules, the large sites and natural surroundings make it conducive to traveling with pets. Most RV parks in Texas are generally pet-friendly, and it's always advisable to confirm specific policies directly.
- Quiet Atmosphere: The park is repeatedly noted for being "quiet" and "peaceful," offering a serene retreat from city noise and traffic, which is highly valued by guests seeking relaxation.
It is important to note that, as highlighted by a reviewer, the park "doesn’t have any amenities (i.e. playground, pool, game room, laundry, public restrooms)." This is a deliberate choice reflected in the lower monthly price, making it a perfect fit for self-contained RVs and adults traveling for work who prioritize space, quiet, and connectivity over shared facilities.
Lakeview RV Park San Angelo TX stands out for several compelling features and highlights that contribute to its high guest satisfaction, particularly for those seeking a tranquil and spacious RV experience.
- Humongous, Spacious Sites: This is a consistent and highly praised highlight. Guests love the "humongous" and "very large" sites, which eliminate the feeling of being cramped. This generous spacing provides ample room for RVs with multiple slides, ensures privacy, and allows for comfortable outdoor living without being directly on top of neighbors' hookups. Sites are also noted as being "level," simplifying setup.
- Excellent and Reliable Wi-Fi: A critical amenity for modern RVers, the "excellent WiFi" is a major draw, especially for those traveling for work (like travel nurses) or relying on internet for entertainment and communication. This high-quality connectivity enhances the overall stay.
- Quiet and Serene Environment: The park offers a genuinely "quiet" and "very peaceful" atmosphere. Its location on the outskirts of town, away from heavy traffic, provides a tranquil retreat, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
- Ideal for Long-Term Stays and Travel Professionals: The combination of affordability, excellent Wi-Fi, and a quiet environment makes it "perfect for adults who travel for work (excellent WiFi)," such as travel nurses, or anyone seeking an extended, stable, and comfortable base.
- Responsive and Accommodating Owner: Kirby, the owner, receives high praise for being "super responsive and accommodating." This hands-on management ensures that any needs or concerns are addressed promptly, contributing significantly to a positive guest experience. "Not a single complaint!" from one long-term resident highlights this.
- Beautiful Natural Surroundings and Outdoor Access: Being "surrounded by serene nature" with a "beautiful view of the twin peaks" is a major highlight. The direct access to "walk/jog/hike/bike/kayak around the trails and adjacent marina nearly everyday" provides abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation right at the park's doorstep.
- Well-Manicured and Maintained: Despite being relatively new, the park is described as "very well manicured and kept," indicating a commitment to cleanliness and visual appeal.
- Outskirts of Town Convenience: Its location just a "couple minutes to town/stores/restaurants" while being on the "outskirts so no traffic or crime" offers the best of both worlds – easy access to city amenities combined with the peace of a rural setting.
Lakeview RV Park San Angelo TX operates with a clear pricing structure that, in itself, serves as a significant "promotion" by offering exceptional value, particularly for extended stays.
- Affordable Monthly Rates: A primary highlight and a key draw for guests, especially travel nurses and long-term residents, is the competitive monthly rate. A review from Summer '23 noted the monthly rate as "$550/mo + electric." This makes it a very economical choice for extended stays in the San Angelo area, especially when considering the spacious sites and included Wi-Fi.
- Value for Money (No Frills, Lower Price): The park's intentional lack of certain amenities (like a pool, playground, game room, public laundry, or public restrooms) is directly "reflected in the lower price." This transparent approach means guests pay for exactly what they need – a spacious, quiet, and connected site – without subsidizing facilities they may not use. This is a significant "promotion" for self-contained RVers who prefer a simpler setup and a lower cost.
- Daily and Weekly Rates: While the monthly rate is prominently highlighted, it is standard for RV parks to offer daily and weekly rates as well. Guests should contact the park directly for the most current daily and weekly pricing, which would also be structured to offer value for shorter visits.
Because the park's value proposition is built into its everyday pricing and "no frills" model, it typically doesn't need to offer short-term, rotating "special offers" in the way a resort with many amenities might. The consistently low monthly rate and high quality of essential services are the ongoing benefits. To confirm the most current rates and availability, especially for long-term stays, it is highly recommended to contact the park directly.

Customer Reviews
We’ve been here for a little over a month and we have very much enjoyed our stay. Quiet. Big sites. Right outside of town. We will be back if we’re ever in the area again!
My husband is a travel nurse and we lived at Lakeview RV Park monthly in summer ‘23 and had a great experience. It was so new, that Google satellite didn’t even show it yet, and therefore was very well manicured and kept. The sites are humongous, so zero trouble parking, and no chilling outside by your neighbors hookups. It’s conveniently only a couple minutes to town/stores/restaurants, but right on the outskirts so no traffic or crime, and you’re surrounded by serene nature. We had a beautiful view of the twin peaks right outside our main window, and walked/jogged/hiked/biked/kayaked around the trails and adjacent marina nearly everyday. One thing I will note (that was not a con to us, but may be helpful for others) is that it doesn’t have any amenities (i.e. playground, pool, game room, laundry, public restrooms), but that’s reflected in the lower price ($550/mo + electric). Perfect for adults who travel for work (excellent WiFi), and Kirby the owner is super responsive and accommodating. Not a single complaint!
Stayed for 2 months. Full hookups. Nice extra wide sites! Park is nicely kept. The owner was very responsive to questions. Communicates via text There was no rain for over a month, so it got a little dusty. They watered down the drive quite a few times to keep dust down. Quiet park with beautiful sunsets and right next to the lake. Hiking trails available. San Angelo has just about anything you want, and so close.
Not my kind of camp grounds. Nothing there. No shower house, restroom, nothing. We made our reservation over the phone. We had to lock in for a 3-day stay. According to pictures, we said ok. It was so deceiving. It cost us $180.
Amazing park, amazing views, amazing management, and top notch care. Very safe for families, close to town with the country feel, HUGE spots, and great internet. We have been here for 5 months, and Kirby always has the helpful answer from where to get supplies to what places to visit. Highly recommend!
