We arrived at midnight. We're tired and needing a place to stop. Have pulled into many KOA parks across the country late and paid next morning or in drop box that night. San Angelo KOA had no info nor any way to pay or check in. Next morning at 8:30 went and stood until a man drove up in his golf cart. I was greeted by "What do you want?" "I need to pay for a spot, we pulled in at midnight." His reply, "you aren't supposed to have stayed here without a reservation". I said "we pulled in late and didn't know we needed to". "Well it's a state law you have to have a reservation and you should not have stayed. Here!" He let me in the office chewing on me the whole time. Called the manager who works at a nearby hospital and she apparently was just as grumpy as he is/was about us pulling in late. I had called the day before thinking we might be going through San Angelo, but not sure. A very nice gentleman said there should be 4 spaces open if we did get that far and could pay next morning. I had no idea he was not authorized to give me that info, this according to the grouch I met the next morning. I was charged $115 for 8 1/2 hour stay. The park is run down, yet very full. So I suppose you can act hateful if you don't need to be nice since spaces are taken. We will NEVER be staying at San Angelo KOA again. We had stayed several times in the past, but staying there is for sure in our past. If you can find any other park to stay or a Walmart parking lot I would recommend.
Apr 01, 2025 · Pat FairchildThis place is absolutely TRASH. The front desk worker had no idea what was going on. He gave us the wrong information 2 different times. Then the “on site” manager who was never on site was extremely rude and cursing on the phone to us because her employee gave us the wrong information. She also had a 9-5 CNA job which was weird because she was the manager onsite ? The “janitor” her husband was rude as well . She also stated we would not be getting a refund even tho we where there only 4 hours . Horrible place nothing works , no lighting at night . DO NOT STAY HERE
Apr 01, 2025 · Mary JesseeRight after we checked in at 3:00 they closed their office so we couldn't go back and get ice. there's absolutely no toilet paper in any of the stalls in the bathroom. there's signs on the doors that say if you bring in alcohol or glass in there anymore. we're going to lock the bathrooms which seems like they should just get rid of the people that are doing that instead of making everybody suffer
May 26, 2025 · Heather SpiessStayed here a few days while passing through the area. Nice and quiet. All sites were level. Convenient to grocery stores, gas stations, walmart, etc.
Jan 26, 2025 · Scott n PaigeOnly two toilet/showers operational. One with no toilet paper and the other with no paper towels. They should get some portables for that size park.
