Full-time RVers here. Our stays are generally for an entire month, as we work and play from our RV. We were supposed to stay in a (just dreary) campground in Maryland, but with the trees and closeness and hills, etc. of that location, we couldn't get our F-350 DRW and 44' toy hauler into any spots safely. This was Easter weekend, and Lazy-A wasn't officially open yet! Nelson and Mariah massively came to our rescue as we were scrambling to find a location. We we pulled up to the Lazy-A... we were blown away. It was SO much better. We have been here now for 3 1/2 weeks, leaving in a couple of days. We are SO glad to have found Lazy-A. They are always out cutting grass to keep it down. They mow out an almost 1-mile circuit that we have loved walking on almost daily. We walked down by the river a few times where there are LOTS of skipping stones. Our return leg doesn't bring us through this area again, but I will look for reasons to stay in the area if we're back this way. We're in spot #1. Most folks here are locals and regulars that come out for the weekend. But everyone is QUIET! Kids are running around playing, sure. But not crazy-like. Everything is GREEN! The entire street, and you can see everyone's yards from here -- they're keeping them cut and the yards are clean. I think this is only the second time in 5 years of full-timing that I haven't wanted to leave a location. I can sometimes come off as a grumpy old man, so believe me when I tell this place is awesome. Couple of notes: • Power is only 30amp, but is included. (Future might hold 50amp, they're working with the electric company on it.) • No sewer at the spots. There is a dump station if you're just staying a few days, but don't worry -- the owners come around with the honey wagon and get you pumped out really fast. Normally something I worry about -- not here. • They have fire rings at each site and a picnic table. • They have firewood for sale, and will even deliver it to your campsite! • I think they have ice for sale, too! • Bathhouse is clean and convenient. • For the tent campers, down close to the river, they have a porta-john brought in weekly. • There's a nice little playground for the kids. • The cabins have a microwave, mini-fridge, two cots. And a charcoal grill outside. • There's pretty good wifi. (You'll see my Starlink out, I do a lot of upload/download for work.) This place is a hidden gem. Even with this long review... I just can't say enough good things. I wish all campgrounds were this good, this clean, this laid-back... and the owners this courteous and *present*.

We absolutely love the Lazy-A campground and the owners were super-accommodating to our travel changes and our need to move our arrival date twice. We technically stayed after they closed for the season, so we didn’t meet the owners. We did call and were told to select any site. The campground has E/W hookups, fire pits, picnic tables, and an easy in-and-out dump station on the way out. Lazy-A felt like we were camping on a friend’s farm - but without the cows & smells - and with hookups! We stayed on the grassy site near the barn, which was very level. It was peaceful & quiet throughout our stay. It seems they have a lot of music and other activities during the season, and is a good choice for families with the playground, dog park and wide open spaces. We loved our stay here and recommended it to folks looking to camp in this area. We spent our day at Shenandoah National Park, which was about an 1:45 drive from the campground.
