This campgrounds has done a 180, major upgrades. More organized events. We look forward to the weekend breakfast too!
It's unfortunate that there are some campers who don't have any consideration for those around them, blasting their music all day and night!! Can't even have a conversation with anyone at your campsite, because their music is so loud. This could be such a great place, but for those that can't be considerate of others! Sad really!!
Visited this campground on Memorial Day. My husband chose to drive his show car since it was a beautiful day. We were met by our friends at the gate and given directions to their site. As we rounded the first corner we were greeted by 3 elderly women running to the roadside screaming "slow down". We were going 7mph. We have camped elsewhere for 16 years and truly understand the speed limit. I find out one of these women are on the board. What a terrible way to meet people for a first time visit. I would not camp at Leisure Lake for anything. Reel these these women in. Not a good face for your campground. Not to mention the unkept sites on the grounds,.
Come here and camp using coast to coast section to camp. We have a couple of friends who are permanent campers here and we all get together with our children and make a long weekend of fun❤️🏕️
As of 07-21-2020, water is still a problem, brown out of the faucet and continued after 20 mins of wide open flow. Was told it's sulfur. I was also told the park has bought a water system to fix this problem and has finally gotten EPA approval to do so. Well, I booked this park thru Coast to Coast. My wife and I could not handle the water issue, no washing clothes, not able to drink it, washing dishes would be out and I really didn't want to run it thru our plumbing. Seems like a filtration system put on at the source wouldn't have required an EPA approval, but what do I know. The camp is staffed by volunteers, so there was no one to check us in and show us where we would set up as we arrived on a Tuesday, had to communicate via cell phone. All the available sites are back in only no pull through's. There is no WiFi in the park and the cell coverage is spotty at best, I have Verizon service. This campground is really set-up for full time living or seasonal stays. See attached photos, Water from hose is at start, in the water bottle after 20 minutes. The volunteer, I spoke to was not at the park, but she was helpful to answer my questions. There is an accessory fee to be paid after you check in, it covers the electricity that you use. I have stayed at many parks/campgrounds across the US and once I've paid the fee to stay, I normally don't have to pay for anything extra unless I'm in the local store.
