Promotions or Special Offers

While specific, publicly advertised "promotions" in the traditional sense (like discounts for certain holidays or limited-time deals) are not detailed in the provided customer reviews, Lochloosa Harbor Resort's "offers" generally revolve around its pricing structure for various accommodations and its unique value proposition as a fishing camp. The reviews suggest that while prices for cabins/Lodge have increased over the years, the overall appeal and friendly service remain strong.

Potential "offers" or aspects to inquire about when contacting the resort might include:

  • Competitive RV Site Rates: Compared to cabins, RV sites might offer a more budget-friendly way to enjoy the resort's amenities and fishing access.
  • Weekly/Monthly Rates for Extended Stays: For serious anglers or those looking to relax for longer periods, it's common for resorts to offer discounted weekly or monthly rates for RV sites and potentially for cabins.
  • Fishing Packages: Given its strong fishing focus, the resort might offer packages that combine lodging with boat rentals, guided fishing tours, or bait credits, though this would need to be confirmed directly.
  • Seasonal Pricing: Like many Florida destinations, prices for accommodations might vary depending on the season (e.g., peak fishing season in cooler months vs. hotter summer months). Inquiring about seasonal rates could reveal more favorable pricing.
  • Cabin/Lodge vs. RV Value: While reviews note cabin prices have increased, comparing the amenities and space offered in the cabins/Lodge versus RV site costs can help visitors determine the best value for their needs.
  • Discounts for Repeat Visitors: The sentiment of "will likely be back" suggests a loyal customer base; sometimes, resorts offer small incentives for repeat bookings, which could be inquired about.

Lochloosa Harbor Fish Camp is absolutely the best place to stay with your RV or stay in one of the cabins or Lodge! The owners and people at the bait store are super friendly! People like to come fish in the cooler months but you can catch Specks year round! All you have to do is ask the friendly store Clerk and they can point you in the right direction. Even if you don’t fish come relax!

For fishing, this is a great option on Lake Lochloosa, but prices have increased a good bit over the years if you plan to rent one of their cabins or "The Lodge". Don't expect anything great and I'd put it on par with staying at the Econo Lodge if you needed a hotel reference. It would be a good idea for the owners to splurge on a few things to make the stay more enjoyable, but I'd say the majority of people staying here only care about fishing, eating, and sleeping. The people that run the place are pretty friendly and addressed most of our concerns while staying there for a week. The Spec (Crappie) fishing was pretty good as well. You had a much better chance limiting out if you go real early though because once it starts to warm up the fishing turned off and you had to move around the lake and lose the bobber to catch anything. They have bait there at the shop and a pretty decent selection of Necessities if you need anything that you may have forgot to bring. Will likely be back, but it would be nice to see some improved toiletries, a little better selection of kitchen tools, a larger TV, and a recliner in the living room.

Needed to stop to be able to stretch my legs and use my phone while I was driving to my motel in Waldo, FL. so I ended up stopping and talked to a few people there. It just so happened the nice lady working was from nc. (My homestate) so talked for a few, stretched my legs, took a few photos and watched God's creation in awe. By the way they had a restaurant, cottages to rent, rv spaces and other amenities. Including a bar, boat ramp, etc.
