Location and Accessibility
Lake Waco Marina & RV Park is perfectly situated at 3201 Over Flow Rd, Waco, TX 76712, USA, offering a somewhat secluded yet easily accessible lakeside experience. While it’s "off the beaten path" and a pleasant distance from the main highway, as one reviewer noted, its location ensures a quiet and peaceful environment, free from the constant hum of road noise. The primary sounds you'll hear are the gentle lapping of the lake, the occasional boat engine, and the delightful calls of various bird species, creating a truly serene atmosphere reminiscent of a beachside camp.
Accessing the park is generally straightforward, with paved roads leading most of the way. Visitors should be aware that GPS systems, such as Garmin, might occasionally suggest turns that are no longer in use, so a good practice is to simply follow the main road leading to the park. The campground entrance is secured by a coded gate, providing an added layer of privacy and security for guests. Despite its tranquil setting, the park remains conveniently close to Waco's urban attractions. Customer Reviews
I can't give 5 stars as I did not look at or use the facilities. The park was far from the main highway. The space I had was waterfront, no sewage. The water was higher than I had seen in photos. Easy access 95% paved. Garmin was instructing turns that did not exist or had been closed off for a very long time. I just followed the road. A coded gate is the campground entrance. Ck in was friendly and efficient. My space was clean, somewhat level, and the lawn was nicely manicured. The only sounds were a plane a couple times a day, no road noise but boat engines as they went across the lake and the many varieties of birds that stopped to play at the water. Temps were perfect, low 70's. A very nice, constant breeze. Reminded me of beach camping at an ocean. Slept like a baby, with windows wide open. Hope to visit this lovely place again, in the future.
Loved this place! Quiet and off the beaten path, but you can get to the Silos in less than 20 minutes. Beautiful area, peaceful, great for family and pets.
Only bad thing was the water, not good tasting. my dog wouldn't even drink it.. Great camp host and view.
So let me begin by saying it is a lovely place to visit if you want a calming laid back experience! The bathrooms are super clean, the road to get there actually isn’t that bad, it’s camping so not everything 100% paved. No biggie. I will say though the meet and greet could have been better! We were approached right before hooking up, and wasn’t told much other than welcome( NOTE!! they saw where we were parked!) Let’s fast forward 2 days later we are checking out and leaving about 30 min later than we should of (our bad) but we’re then stopped right before pulling out and was told we were not in the system and that they couldn’t find us. Funny ya greeted us a couple of days ago and never said a word then watching us hook up, we even asked is this our spot…oh well just a little hiccup. Overall, I would come back but will definitely remember that there is no store on site (bring everything you need in advance) and double check your hook up spot before hankering down.
We had an unusual issue with the platform on our houseboat. Rich came up with an unorthodox solution that worked out perfectly. It took some planning and scheduling but I can't thank him enough for making a very difficult situation a lot better in the long run. His communication was phenomenal and I will definitely be calling him again should the need arise.
