Made To Go RV Park in Baton Rouge offers a straightforward and functional solution for RVers looking for a no-fuss, well-maintained place to stay.

Made To Go RV Park positions itself as a practical choice, recognizing that not every RVer needs a resort-style experience. Instead, it focuses on delivering essential services and a secure environment, making it particularly suitable for those on extended stays, working in the area, or needing a reliable base. As one reviewer noted, it's "Not the absolute greatest, but also not the worst by any means," highlighting its utilitarian appeal and reliable nature. The park understands the fundamental needs of RVers and aims to meet them efficiently.

For locals, this park represents a convenient option for temporary housing during work assignments, home renovations, or simply as a stable base while exploring the greater Baton Rouge area. Its emphasis on security and core amenities means you can focus on your activities in the city with peace of mind.

Location and Accessibility

Made To Go RV Park is conveniently situated at 111 Thomas Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70807, USA. This location places it within the bustling capital city of Louisiana, offering residents and visitors excellent access to the city’s numerous amenities, attractions, and employment opportunities.

Baton Rouge is a hub of activity, home to Louisiana State University (LSU), the State Capitol, and a thriving industrial sector. For Louisianans, the park's accessibility is a significant advantage. It is positioned with relatively easy access to major roadways, allowing for convenient commutes to different parts of the city and surrounding areas. This makes it an ideal spot for individuals working on "local outages" or other temporary assignments, providing a stable home base close to job sites. Beyond work, residents can easily explore Baton Rouge’s diverse culinary scene, vibrant arts and culture, historical landmarks like the Old State Capitol, and the lively atmosphere of LSU game days. While the park itself is on a "gravel lot," its urban location ensures that shops, grocery stores, medical facilities, and entertainment venues are never far away. The blend of a practical RV park setup with the robust offerings of a major city makes Made To Go RV Park a highly accessible and convenient choice for local RVers.

Services Offered

Made To Go RV Park focuses on providing essential services that cater to the core needs of RVers, particularly those on extended stays or working in the area. Based on customer reviews, here are the key services you can expect:

  • Monthly Bookings: The park primarily operates on a monthly booking system, which is ideal for those needing extended accommodations. Reviewers explicitly state, "You can only book for a month at a time," which simplifies long-term planning.
  • Complete Utilities (Full Hookups): Guests are provided with "complete utilities," which typically includes full hookups for electricity, water, and sewer connections, ensuring a comfortable and functional stay for your RV.
  • On-Site Laundromat: A convenient "Laundromat on site" is available for guests. While the cost is noted to be "up to 8$ if you want hot water and a long dry cycle," the availability of on-site laundry is a valuable amenity for full-timers and long-term residents.
  • On-Site Dumpster with Timely Service: The park has a "dumpster on site that’s empty most of the time cause the trash services are timely." This ensures efficient waste management and a cleaner environment.
  • Regular Insecticide Spraying: The owner or another individual is observed "spraying what I believe was insecticide weekly," indicating a proactive approach to pest control, which is a significant benefit in Louisiana's climate.
  • Pull-In Parking: The park offers "pull in parking," which suggests ease of maneuvering and parking for various RV sizes.

It is important to note that, as per reviews, Wi-Fi is generally "no wifi" at the park, so guests should plan for their own internet access. For any other specific service inquiries, it is always recommended to contact Made To Go RV Park directly.

Features / Highlights

Made To Go RV Park stands out due to several key features that contribute to its appeal, particularly for those seeking a practical, secure, and value-oriented stay in Baton Rouge.

  • Secure Gated Entry with Privacy Fence: A significant highlight is the "fenced area behind coded entry gate" and a "privacy fence." This provides a strong sense of security and peace of mind for residents and their belongings, which is especially valuable in an urban setting.
  • Dedicated for Monthly Stays/Long-Term Guests: The park's primary focus on monthly bookings ("You can only book for a month at a time") makes it ideal for "people going to the local outage" or anyone needing an extended, stable base in Baton Rouge. This focus suggests a community geared towards longer-term residents.
  • Proactive Pest Control: The owner or staff regularly "spraying what I believe was insecticide weekly" is a notable benefit, particularly in Louisiana's humid climate, contributing to a more comfortable living environment.
  • Efficient Waste Management: The presence of a well-serviced "dumpster on site that’s empty most of the time cause the trash services are timely" ensures a clean and sanitary environment, a crucial factor for long-term residents.
  • Convenient On-Site Laundry: While there's a cost, having a "Laundromat on site" provides undeniable convenience, saving residents time and the hassle of finding off-site facilities.
  • Supportive Management: Reviews highlight a "Great owner" who is visible and proactive in maintaining the park, suggesting responsive and helpful management.

It's also important for prospective guests to be aware of some potential downsides mentioned:

  • Proximity to Train Tracks: "You can hear trains moving nightly," which is a consideration for light sleepers.
  • Gravel Lot: The park is on a "gravel lot," which might lead to it feeling "a bit dull over some time" for some residents.
  • No Wi-Fi: As stated by a reviewer, there is "no wifi," meaning guests need to arrange their own internet connectivity.

Despite these points, the emphasis on security, convenience, and suitability for long-term stays makes Made To Go RV Park a practical choice for many.

Promotions or Special Offers

Given that Made To Go RV Park primarily caters to monthly bookings and is highlighted for its practicality and suitability for those on "local outages," its main "promotion" is its transparent and competitive monthly rate structure. While specific, temporary deals might not be explicitly advertised, here's what can be inferred about their value proposition:

  • Consistent Monthly Rates: The park's model of "only book for a month at a time" suggests a stable, predictable monthly fee that provides good value for extended stays, often more economical than daily or weekly rates.
  • All-Inclusive Utilities (Implied): As complete utilities are provided with the monthly booking, this effectively bundles costs that might otherwise be separate, simplifying budgeting for residents.
  • Security and Pest Control as Value-Adds: The added security of a "coded entry gate" and regular "insecticide spraying" are significant value-added services that enhance the living experience, often without additional charge beyond the monthly rate.
  • On-Site Laundry Convenience: While there is a per-load cost, having a laundromat directly on-site is a convenience that saves time and travel expenses, acting as an indirect value proposition.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on their current monthly rates, availability, and any specific policies, it is always recommended to contact Made To Go RV Park directly using the provided phone numbers. They can also clarify if any short-term exceptions or specific discounts are available under unique circumstances.

Not the absolute greatest, but also not the worst by any means. -Great owner, saw him or another individual spraying what I believe was insecticide weekly. -Has a dumpster on site that’s empty most of the time cause the trash services are timely. -Laundromat on site (a load of laundry is up to 8$ if you want hot water and a long dry cycle) -Security gate w/ privacy fence Downside, you can hear trains moving nightly, and it’s on a gravel lot, so it can be a bit dull over some time I’d imagine. Would recommend for people going to the local outage
