This welcoming atmosphere, combined with a definite focus on planned activities, ensures that there is always something fun, engaging, and community-oriented happening. Visitors consistently praise the friendly neighbors and the abundance of things to do, whether it's enjoying the heated pool and spa, renting a boat on the 5-acre lake, or participating in a themed weekend event.
For families, the large, clean sites, the availability of a well-stocked camp store/snack bar, and the comprehensive schedule of kid-friendly activities make planning a stress-free vacation a reality. While the presence of many seasonal residents and some minor maintenance issues (like road quality and some visual clutter) are noted, these aspects are often overshadowed by the genuine hospitality, affordable camping options, and the sheer volume of amenities provided.

This is the best campground we have visited. We were treated like family and like we have been camping there our whole lives. The weekend activities are inviting and engaging for all. The site are large, clean, and affordable. We will be returning for the foreseeable future!
Jul 27, 2025 · Matthew YapleNot a horrible visit. Mostly residents. Good Very friendly neighbors Close knit community Nice pool and hot tub Well stocked camp store with food (restaurant) and essentials Clean bathrooms Our lot was spacious and didn't feel crammed. Mostly trees/shaded Fishing pond on site Boat rentals. Bad Definitely caters to the local residents (And there are a lot of them) Quite hilly Lack of esthetics (a lot of unnecessary "junk" strewn about...Random dumpsters, unused broken equipment and stuff in plain view) Wifi is not available throughout the camp. Our Sewer drain has no cap/threads Ugly The roads need grading... Mostly loose rocks and gullies. In dire need of ground maintenance (lots of unnecessary tall grass and weeds) very unkempt look. Better signage. Not much "local" stuff to do.
Jul 27, 2025 · Glen BartolomeiGreat place to take the kids. Outdoor swimming pool, play ground, activities for children and adults. Owners are wonderful and make you feel very welcome. Not many tent sites but the ones they have are clean and big. Hot free shower's, public campers toilets and very clean port-a-johns. Lake for fishing and boat rentals. Game room, small store and laundry room. All the veteran campers were friendly and polite.
Jul 04, 2024 · Tera KolarcikNice campground with pool and hot tub. Even though it's pretty tight you didn't feel cramped because of the trees. Gravel camper sites so bring a rug. We went on a weekend and there's a little of activities going on, bingo, wagon rides, pool party etc. If you're into schmoozing and boozing then you'll have a great time. Otherwise night time doesn't really settle until 11 and the pool was packed most of the day. Free WiFi was a great bonus too!
Jul 28, 2024 · Tom SanfordThis place is almost surreal… It’s a great place where kids can have a lot of fun, there’s a playground, a swimming pool, you can fish at the pond, etc. So if I was a kid and my parents brought me here I would have had a great time; it’s perfect for family gatherings and taking the kids to a place where they can run around, be loud, spend the whole day in the pool, they have a snack bar and the milkshakes and fries are amazing! The thing is, I am not a kid and I wanted peace and quiet; well, you won’t find that here. No way! No such thing, but that’s more on me, I guess. I got there 3 days after the 4th of July so my experience was kind of exceptional and from an anthropology perspective, really interesting. Everyone at the swimming pool had either stars and spangles swimming suits or blue and red patriotic outfits or t shirts with the legend: “Got Freedom?” Or “I can’t hear you over the sound of my freedom” kind of thing…. Apparently everyone there loved their country a lot. And their freedom. ( I like my freedom as well, but I think they like theirs more ) The atmosphere was festive, and relaxed, people drinking beer at the pool and having fun while the kids did cannon ball competitions or play Marco Polo… After a while I realized the place is a campground but also a trailer park where people actually live, some of them seem to be veterans or something of the sort. The afternoon I was there it was bingo night and a lot of people took part in it. they seemed to have had fun. Then at 10 pm there were fireworks…. Do you know what people there love more than Freedom? Fireworks! There was and absolutely badass display of fireworks that lasted 30 minutes… 30 minutes of loud, spectacular, first level fireworks… If I was a tiny dog or a sensitive pet it would have been a seemingly never ending nightmare… But I am a human and I enjoyed them; however I could not help but think about all the trash and debris that was being shot into the pond. The pond looks beautiful in pictures but is in great need of a deep clean up, not only from all the trash from the fireworks, but it also needs to be clean from a lot fishing line tangled among the lilies , fishing hooks, tackle, beer bottles, rotting algae, etc… In a few words, I won’t be coming back again because that’s not the kind of experience I look for when I am camping but I would definitely recommend it to families that want their kids to have a lot of fun!
