Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures About
For those of us in Arkansas who cherish the thrill of outdoor adventure yet crave the peace of a private retreat, Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures offers an experience that is truly "AMAZING!" This RV park and campground, nestled by the scenic Mulberry River, is quickly becoming a beloved "hidden gem" for locals seeking a perfect blend of excitement and serenity. It’s a place where you can immerse yourself in nature, enjoy thrilling river activities, and still feel the warmth of genuine, personalized hospitality.
What truly sets Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures apart, according to delighted visitors, is the unparalleled privacy of its campsites. Imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of the river, surrounded by nothing but "you and Nature 🌱💚." This level of seclusion, even for RV sites, is a rare find and contributes significantly to the park's tranquil appeal. It’s a stark contrast to other, often busy, parts of the Mulberry River, making it a true escape.
Beyond the breathtaking setting, the owners themselves are a highlight. Described as "so sweet," they go above and beyond, even meeting guests "right when we got there on a Quad to take us to find a campsite." This level of personal attention and friendliness, including remembering special occasions like a birthday, transforms a simple camping trip into a truly memorable and heartwarming experience. It's clear they prioritize making every guest feel welcome and cared for.
Whether you're an avid RVer, a tent camper, or simply someone looking to reconnect with Arkansas's stunning natural landscapes, Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures promises a stay that is both adventurous and deeply relaxing. With direct access to a "great swimming hole" and opportunities for floating down the river to your campsite, it's an outdoor enthusiast's dream. This article will explore everything that makes this riverside retreat a must-visit for Arkansans.
Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures is conveniently located at 6600 Hwy 215, Mulberry, AR 72947, USA. This address places it directly along the famed Mulberry River, a designated National Wild and Scenic River, and within the expansive Ozark National Forest. The park's position on Highway 215 ensures excellent accessibility, being just "one mile North of I40," a major interstate running through Arkansas. This makes it incredibly easy for RVers and campers traveling from various parts of the state or beyond to reach their destination without complex navigation.
Despite its proximity to Interstate 40, the park manages to feel wonderfully "tucked away right by the river," maintaining a sense of secluded tranquility. This blend of easy access and natural seclusion is a significant advantage. Guests can enjoy the peace of the riverside environment without sacrificing the convenience of nearby towns.
The town of Mulberry offers basic amenities like gas and convenience stores, but for more extensive shopping, dining, and services, larger towns such as Alma (approximately 15 minutes away) or Fort Smith are within a reasonable driving distance. This ensures that visitors can easily resupply or explore additional attractions during their stay.
Furthermore, the location provides direct access to the rich outdoor recreation opportunities of the Ozark National Forest. Reviewers highlight "great hiking trails right up the rd" and opportunities to "ride for miles with NO trailering required on trails and backroads in your jeep or atv to explore the Ozark National Forest," making it an ideal base for adventurers who want to explore off-road trails, hiking paths, and the scenic beauty of the Ozarks. The accessibility to the Mulberry River itself is paramount, offering direct put-in and take-out points for floating and easy access to swimming holes.
Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures prides itself on offering a blend of essential RV park amenities and unique outdoor activity services, all delivered with a personal touch.
-
Private RV Hookup Sites: The park offers full-service RV hookups, including 20, 30, and 50 AMP electricity, water, and sewer connections for most RV sites. For sites without sewer, a dump station is available. Reviewers emphasize that "the campsites are SO private," which is a major draw for RVers seeking space and seclusion.
-
Riverfront Tent Sites: For traditional campers, the park offers tent sites, many of which are "right next to the River." Some are primitive, while others may have power. This direct river access is highly coveted for a true nature immersion.
-
Personalized Welcome and Escort: A standout service is the owner's commitment to personal welcome. Guests are met "right when we got there on a Quad to take us to find a campsite," ensuring a smooth and friendly check-in process. This goes beyond typical customer service, making guests feel valued.
-
River Floating and Rental Services: The park facilitates river adventures by offering "River Tubes and Ice Chest Tubes available for rent." The owners also provide invaluable local knowledge, advising guests of "some places upstream we could put in and float down to the camp site." This direct involvement in enhancing river activities is a key service.
-
Swimming Hole Access: Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures boasts "one of the very BEST swimming holes along the Mulberry River," providing a fantastic spot for cooling off and enjoying the clear water in the summer.
-
Restroom and Shower Facilities: The park provides "a public toilet and shower." While a reviewer noted it's "only one though so we did have to wait for our turn sometimes," the general courtesy of other guests made this "no big deal." This indicates a functional, albeit sometimes busy, facility.
-
On-Site Firewood and Ice Sales: For ultimate camping convenience, the park sells both firewood and ice on premises, ensuring guests have everything they need for classic campfire evenings and cold refreshments.
-
Access to Hiking and ATV/ORV Trails: The park's location offers direct access to various outdoor trails, including those for hiking and ATV/ORV riding in the Ozark National Forest, providing endless adventure possibilities right from your campsite.
-
Other Lodging Options: In addition to RV and tent sites, some information suggests the presence of cabin-like accommodations (e.g., "The Loft" cabin with amenities like a smart TV, kitchenette, and full shower), offering a wider range of lodging choices.
Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures shines with several key features that make it a highly desirable destination for locals seeking an authentic Arkansas outdoor experience.
-
Unparalleled Campsite Privacy: This is a consistent highlight. Reviewers rave that "the campsites are SO private, right next to the River and surrounded with only you and Nature 🌱💚." This level of seclusion allows for a truly immersive and peaceful outdoor experience, a rare commodity in many RV parks.
-
Direct River Access and Activities: Being "right by the River" is a significant advantage. The park offers immediate access to the Mulberry River for swimming (a "great swimming hole"), fishing, and floating. The ability to "put in and float down to the camp site" is a unique and highly recommended activity for guests.
-
Exceptional Owner Hospitality: The owners are frequently praised for being "so sweet" and going "above and beyond." Their personal touch, like meeting guests on a quad and remembering special occasions, creates a uniquely welcoming and memorable atmosphere that makes visitors feel genuinely cared for.
-
Secluded Yet Accessible Location: Despite being "conveniently located off the interstate," the park successfully remains "tucked away right by the river," offering a sense of hidden tranquility. This balance of easy access and natural seclusion is perfect for quick getaways that feel far from the everyday.

Abundant Outdoor Adventure Opportunities: Beyond river activities, the park's proximity to the Ozark National Forest provides access to "great hiking trails right up the rd" and extensive ATV/ORV trails. This makes it an ideal base camp for various land-based outdoor pursuits.
-
Scenic Beauty: The natural setting, with the "wild and scenic Mulberry River" and surrounding Ozark National Forest, offers picturesque views and a refreshing environment for relaxation and exploration.
-
Community Courtesy: Even on "a busy very weekend," guests noted that "everyone was Courtesy and respectful of others time" regarding shared facilities like the single shower. This highlights a positive and considerate guest community.
While Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures primarily focuses on providing exceptional value through its unique features and personalized service, common practices in RV parks and campgrounds suggest potential "offers" for guests. Direct inquiry is always the best way to confirm current promotions or special rates.
-
Competitive Nightly Rates: While specific current pricing isn't always publicly advertised as a "promotion," reviewer comments about the overall experience suggest that the standard nightly rates for RV full hookups (which have been observed to be around $40-$45) and tent sites (around $15-$20) are perceived as fair for the value received, especially given the privacy and river access. This inherent affordability serves as an ongoing benefit.
-
Potential for Extended Stay Discounts: Many RV parks offer reduced rates for longer stays, such as weekly or monthly bookings. It's common for parks to provide incentives for long-term campers. Reviewers have mentioned monthly rates (e.g., around $500), indicating that such options exist. Guests planning an extended visit should definitely inquire about these potential savings.
-
Value-Add Services and Local Knowledge: The personalized escort to campsites, the owners remembering special occasions, and their willingness to share local insights on river put-in spots for floating or nearby hiking trails, while not traditional discounts, are significant value-adds that enhance the guest experience and could be considered an informal "special offer" of exceptional service.
-
On-Site Rentals and Sales: The availability of river tubes and ice chest tubes for rent, as well as firewood and ice for sale on-site, offers convenience. While these are paid services, the ability to obtain them directly at the park saves guests time and effort, making their adventure more seamless.

I almost don't want to tell y'all about this place because it is so AMAZING! The campsites are SO private, right next to the River and surrounded with only you and Nature 🌱💚 The owners are so sweet and met us right when we got there on a Quad to take us to find a campsite. Who does that?!?! Thank you for a wonderful birthday and for remembering to say it when we arrived! Xo
Such a hidden gem and I hope it stays hidden as other parts of the Mulberry can be very busy. This campground is conveniently located off the interstate but is still tucked away right by the river. Great swimming hole in the summer and the owners even told us of some places upstream we could put in and float down to the camp site (highly suggest) also great hiking trails right up the rd. We came on a busy very weekend and stayed in an RV. So I’m excited to come back when it’s a lil less crowded and check on the tent site area. There is a public toilet and shower, it’s only one though so we did have to wait for our turn sometimes, this was no big deal though as everyone was Courtesy and respectful of others time. Will def be back!!
We highly recommend Mulberry River Outdoor Adventures! Ty, Rick and their Family helped to make our stay one of our favorite riding/camping trips yet! Ty had asked us what we were looking for in regards to a camping spot and he nailed it! We had the whole Peninsula to ourselves (River Front) with nobody around for about 50 yards. It was so peaceful and it felt like camping in nature with the river flowing allowing us to truly relax, not a concrete jungle like other places. Ty and Rick also helped with the trails so we can go out and on Saturday, they were awesome enough to take us on a 6-hour ride showing us around, it was Epic! They truly love what they do here and really care about their visitors, you will not find better hosts! Thank you guys for a wonderful trip, we will be back! Did I mention they have a Kangaroo!? They do!
This was so fun. It was my first time I loved the rocks and the water was beautiful. I highly recommend this experience.
Awesome place to ride from and all around. Very helpful owners taking the time to map out rides for us. So glad we decided to stop here. We had an amazing week riding and so much privacy on the trails. Beautiful creeks to cool off it. Thank you!
