This article is tailored for you, our local Wisconsin users, to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of this unique campground, highlighting its specialized offering.

Northlake Campgrounds operates distinctly as a seasonal campground, catering to those who desire a long-term presence for the entire summer season rather than short-term stays. As reviews suggest, it's a "very basic, but very affordable" option that provides the coveted "full hookups" often sought by RV campers. Situated with "gorgeous views of the lake," it offers a serene and picturesque backdrop for your seasonal adventures. Location and Accessibility

Northlake Campgrounds is located at 250 22nd Ave, Comstock, WI 54826, USA. This address places it squarely in Barron County, in the northwestern part of Wisconsin, a region known for its numerous lakes, forests, and charming small towns. The campground is notably situated with "gorgeous views of the lake," which is North Lake, an 83-acre lake with a maximum depth of 21 feet, offering a public boat landing and opportunities for panfish, largemouth bass, and northern pike fishing.

The accessibility of Northlake Campgrounds for Wisconsin locals is quite favorable. While Comstock itself is a small community, adding to the peaceful, rural ambiance, the campground benefits from its "close proximity to Cumberland" and being "only 15 minutes from Turtle Lake casino." This means that while you enjoy the tranquility of your lakeside seasonal site, you're never far from essential services, dining options, and entertainment. Cumberland, a larger nearby town, offers various conveniences, while the Turtle Lake Casino provides an option for entertainment and dining out.

Beyond immediate conveniences, the location in Barron County places campers within reach of a broader network of recreational opportunities. The region is dotted with other lakes and natural areas, providing ample choices for additional outdoor activities like hiking, boating, and exploring the unique Wisconsin landscape. The balance of secluded lakeside living with accessible amenities and entertainment makes Northlake Campgrounds a practical and desirable choice for Wisconsin residents seeking a seasonal home.

Features / Highlights

Northlake Campgrounds is characterized by several key features that make it attractive, particularly for those seeking a seasonal camping experience in Wisconsin:

  • Dedicated Seasonal Camping: This is the primary highlight. The campground is "only open to permanent seasonal campers," fostering a stable and friendly community of long-term residents. This means fewer transient campers and a consistent, neighborly environment.
  • Affordable Pricing: Described as "very affordable," which is a significant advantage for those looking for a cost-effective way to enjoy a lakeside retreat throughout the warmer months.
  • Full Hookup Availability: The provision of "full hookups" (water, electric, sewer) on sites offers maximum convenience for RV and travel trailer owners, minimizing daily chores and enhancing comfort.

Promotions or Special Offers

As a seasonal campground, Northlake Campgrounds primarily operates on a long-term rental model for the entire camping season. Therefore, traditional "promotions" or short-term "special offers" in the sense of nightly discounts are generally not applicable. Their main "offer" is the availability of affordable seasonal sites with full hookups and lake views.

The core value proposition is the ability to secure a dedicated spot for the entire summer at a competitive price, providing a consistent recreational base without the need for frequent reservations or packing/unpacking.

For specific seasonal rates, availability of sites, and any terms related to deposits or payment plans, prospective seasonal campers should contact Northlake Campgrounds directly. It is also crucial to confirm their policy on trailer length, as they are "picky about the size of your travel trailer," specifically noting they "doesn't like anything over 30 feet."

This is a seasonal campgrounds. It's very basic, but very affordable, they do offer full hookups, and since we're state park campers, it's perfect for us. We have a huge campsite with gorgeous views of the lake. They are picky about the size of your travel trailer. He doesn't like anything over 30 feet. Close proximity to Cumberland and only 15 minutes from Turtle Lake casino. So lots of choices for places to eat.
