Promotions or Special Offers

Iowa State Parks, including Pine Lake State Park Campground, occasionally offer special promotions, particularly for cabin rentals during off-peak seasons. For example, in the past, there have been promotions for discounts on cabin stays during the winter months, encouraging visitors to experience the park's beauty year-round. These offers are typically announced through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) news releases and their official website.

While specific promotions for campsites at Pine Lake State Park Campground are not continuously advertised, it is always recommended for interested campers to check the Iowa DNR's official website or the Iowa State Parks reservation portal (iowastateparks.reserveamerica.com) before booking. These platforms are the most reliable sources for the latest information on rates, availability, and any ongoing special offers that might apply to your desired camping dates. Additionally, consider visiting during weekdays or shoulder seasons (spring and fall) for potentially lower rates and a more peaceful experience, as weekend dates tend to be busier.

For group events or extended stays, it's advisable to contact the park office directly, as they might have specific rates or booking considerations for larger parties or long-term reservations. Always inquire about any potential discounts for Iowa residents or recurring visitors, although these are less common for general state park camping compared to specific promotions.

It’s our first time here and we love it. The bathrooms are clean and appear to be newly remodeled. There are other campers here but it’s far from crowded. Quiet and peaceful. We arrived Sunday afternoon so The weekend might be more active / loud. You can see the River from the campground, and a trail runs through the grounds and along the water. We’ve seen deer, squirrels and birds. a couple of boat ramps, a beach, and a Children’s playground are walking distance. It feels like you’re out in nature, but are only a couple minutes from Eldora if you need groceries, gas, or want to catch a movie in town. We will come here again.

Clean restrooms, very nice campsites, cement roads but no parking pad - I was unsure at first where to put the camper. No check-in building, but reservations were posted at the gazebo and also at the site. Stayed on a Thursday night only, but it was very quiet.

We are here now renting a cabin, can't sleep very well here. The mice are so bad it's crazy. They are in the wood channels along the stone walls. I can hear them next to where I am sleeping. I went into Farm Fleet today and picked up some traps. Caught two already but can hear at least two chewing away now, one in sleeping area and one in kitchen. Wife seen one while in the bathroom come under the door and go straight under utility closet that is locked lol. Cabin looked clean when we showed up, I like the location, mice are off the charts though.
