Customer Reviews
We booked the memorial day weekend 5 months in advance for a full hookup site. We arrived on Friday afternoon at approximately 5 o'clock in the afternoon. It was a very easy check in, not even having to get out of the vehicle. But immediately things went south from there. The check in person handed us our paperwork along with our weekend wristbands. We noticed immediately that the wrong site was on our bands. When we asked about it they said there was a mistake earlier in the day and the gentleman that leads you back to your site put someone else in our site. Since this was our first time camping here I presumed all the sites were similar. Wronnnng! I have a 32 foot bumper pull trailer. They made me fit that trailer in between 2 trees that were no more than 10-12 feet apart and electrical boxes in the front of the sites. (Very odd set up if you ask me). Needless to say it was a very tight fit. When I asked the gentleman that took us to the site his opinion on how to get backed in he told me you can do it. Your lucky you have a shorter camper. 32 feet???. And he said he had to go help another camper coming in and off he went. A big thanks to the permanent campers who evidently have seen this issue happen before came over and offered advice on how to get in. I had to drive completely back around the campground and come in the opposite way while they moved there vehicles out of the way to try to get enough swing to back in. We did it but it wasn't easy. We had a wonderful stay and do plan to come back but I will always wonder how a mix up like this occurred in the first place. My honest thoughts is that the people that took our original sight saw that the couldn't fit in the sight they reserved and were given permission to take our site since we haven't arrived yet. (Just a thought). When I confronted the owner about the situation he knew all about it and kept saying how sorry he was but offered no kickback in money or maybe a free night of camping for their mistake. Like I said we will definitely give them another chance because we very much enjoyed our weekend and had great neighbors.
Wonderful place to kick back and relax. My wife and I tried the place out a couple weekends. Because of the great time we had, we've decided to become part of the family and now have a seasonal. Highly recommend, owners and staff are very nice people. Definitely a place to go for fun with the family.
Great experience even early in the season. Pads were level and sites were spacious. Mega bloody mary was good as well!
Cute little campsite, seems reasonable for pricing. Food was awesome service super friendly.
We spent Labor Day weekend at Pineland Campground and could not have had a better time! The campsites were quite large and it was very obviously a campground full of permanent site close neighbors - the vibe in the air was infectious, it was impossible not to have a good time! My kids had a great time riding their bikes all over the place, but I think that overall, our most favorite part was the kids being able to flex their freedom by walking up to the activities counter by themselves for access to the go-karts, mini golf and activities. We will definitely be back, thank you for having us!
