It's a place where the sounds of loons calling across the water and the sight of trumpeter swans gliding by become part of your daily rhythm. While it offers a more rustic experience compared to some highly developed parks, its cleanliness, welcoming camp host, and abundant natural features make it a truly appealing choice for those who value authenticity and quiet contemplation in the great outdoors. For Wisconsin locals, it represents an accessible slice of unspoiled nature, perfect for reconnecting with the wild heart of their state.

Beautiful campground, stayed the weekend 6-10-23 and it was less than a third full. Many first come first serve sites were available. Very hard to find a bad site here, we’ll spaced, nicely wooded and most very level for parking vans and trailers. Nice beach. There were a pair a loons, four trumpeter swans, and a few geese battling for our attention.
Jun 11, 2023 · Guy HuffmanWe visited this nice lake campground on 1st July, most of the campsites in chequamegan national forest were booked. We found campsite 6 available in this campground. Mosquitos welcomed us before we can setup our equipment so mosquito repellent is recommended. Campground has vault toilets , also couple of water pumps, one of them is near to campsite 6 and 7. Camp host was very welcoming and helped us to figure out available campsite. Mobile coverage: yes Outdoor Activity : kayaking, fishing in lake
Jul 03, 2022 · Avinash DeshmukhNot much privacy between some of the campsites but overall very pretty sites available and the lake and beach area were clean and bathrooms well-maintained aside from the men's not having hand sanitizer like the women's did. We had a great stay anyhow :) My daughter loved the lake!
Aug 18, 2018 · Amber PI been going there more frequently. Always beautiful and always clean. Host is so friendly and wonderful guy.
Aug 22, 2023 · Dabs GuyVery quiet and clean campground next to the lake. Has toilets but no showers. If you like primitive camping or boondocking in a camper, this is a fantastic campground.
