Customer Reviews
We stayed in Hoot Owl 16 Memorial Day weekend. They let us check in early for a small fee. The cabin was clean and ready for our stay. The bed was super comfortable for my wife and I. The staff was on point and answered any questions we had. They provided hot dogs and the condiments for its customers which was a nice lunch. The park itself was clean and nice. I’d definitely recommend this park if you’re looking for place to stay and ride your quads, SxS’s, or dirt bikes.
Beautiful location, beautiful scenery. Easy access to all the trails. I stayed in one of the cabins and it was more than comfortable and had all the necessities if you were to cook in every night. The campground Wi-Fi can be a little sketchy. Moreover, your cellular and cellular Internet is of the same, you're in a remote location. In my books, I got fair value and enjoyed every minute of my time there.
Stayed at Patriots Peak. For all that have not stayed in a ATV park some of the cabins are small, it is expected.. Our group was 4 adults, there was ample space for normal taking turns for the shower and bath. If your trip is planned with good weather the outside porch is great, if your looking for inside comfort rent a larger unit. The staff, the store and the stay was awesome. 4x4 tow vehicle is a must if you stay at this cabin.
The campground was nice. The bathrooms were clean. The trails were not marked. My husband and I are in our 60s. We go riding at Badlands and have no trouble we were looking so forward our vacation at Ride Royal blue I was so disappointed I will never come back we went out following the map and got lost finally half the day gone. We made it back so we went and rented a tablet. The tablet wasn’t charged up when we got it so after a hour i’m trying to get to the waterfall following the directions on the tablet. It went dead so once again we were lost. We went back to our motorhome and charged it up and took it back the next day. They wouldn’t even offer me any kind of a discount, I would never rent it again because it doesn’t work very well so scratched up you can hardly see the screen. We went out on our own and met up with some people, our age and we rode with them. Three of them had tablets we’re still trying to make it to the waterfall and this did not take us directly to the waterfall. We kept getting lost and three different people had these tablets. These trails are not marked on the way back after riding with them. My husband and I got separated from them and got lost my husband Machine started running bad because the conditions of the trails are so deep going in and out of mud I was covered. I was in tears most of the time because it was getting dark and we were lost and no cell service. This is the most terrifying trip I’ve ever been on. I felt devastated abandoned. There’s no way I could’ve walked out of there. If the machine broke down anyone else that goes there please be careful. It is a dangerous place. You get lost out there. You’re on your own.
My family and I have been coming here for years. There’s trails for everyone here and the cabins have a wide range of accommodations whether you need room for two or room for many more. Everyone who works here makes the experience easy and friendly. Keep an eye out for their guided rides on Facebook if you’re new to the area wanna go with a group for your first experience. On our latest visit we went to the elk viewing tower and caught a great look. Thanks again to the team here, we’ll be back again shortly!
