We had an amazing stay at Rio Guadalupe Resort and will absolutely be back! The views alone are worth the trip, stunning riverfront scenery with giant cypress trees and peaceful water made it feel like a true escape. Our cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-kept. You can tell they take real pride in maintaining the property. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we checked in. Whether it was helping us get situated or giving us local tips, everyone we met went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Shout out to Jackie and Kristen for making sure we felt extra taken care of on our first time to the property! Floating the Guadalupe right outside our cabin was a highlight. The water was clean and clear, with a super chill vibe. Everyone on the river and at the resort, families, groups of friends, couple, were friendly and respectful. Honestly, it was night and day compared to the Comal float we did a few weeks ago. That trip felt crowded and chaotic, and the river wasn’t nearly as clean. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway or group trip!

We’re already planning our next trip back. Highly recommend!

It was our first time staying at the Rio Guadalupe Resort. We camped in the RV section of the resort during the Easter Weekend Here are just a few things I appreciated about the resort. Pros: 1. Bathrooms and showers were clean, functional, and the doors locked. 2. It is right on the Guadalupe River. It was extremely convenient for tubing and kayaking. 3. It was Easter and the staff did a Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Also, they had a small brunch after. I thought this was extremely nice. 4. There are not many public grills. We asked about the grills and they offer to bring us a small one. It was not fancy but got the job done. 5. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cons: One small con for me was the fees that is added to your bookings. The is a convince booking fee if you book online. Also, a fee to reserve a particular spot in the RV park for your RV. Be aware the cost of the resort is significantly more than booking at State or Federal Park. Overall great experience and I would suggest the resort to other friends.

We have stayed at this resort for the last 3 years during the winter in a river front cabin. Their location on the Guadalupe River is amazing! I fly fish and this location is great for wading or with guides for float trips. This property now has a fly shop with everything you need to fly fish this river. The staff- from the staff in the office to the fly shop- are friendly and knowledgeable. Cabins are comfortable and have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. You can choose riverfront with a view from your deck or a poolside cabin. They also have multiple RV spots. I hope to continue staying every winter!

Just getting back from a 4-day stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. Stayed in a 2-story cabin with 3 bedrooms. The cabin and property were well maintained. The fishing in the area is good and rented kayaks for a couple of hours. The fly shop on site is an added benefit. The fly shop had good prices being close to the river, a good selection of items, and the owner was knowledgeable and helpful.
