While there are areas where the campground continues to evolve, such as noted concerns regarding electrical service reliability (voltage dips) and bathhouse location convenience for all sites—points which, as local users, we appreciate in terms of transparent community feedback—the overall sentiment celebrates its natural beauty, spacious grass sites, and dedication to a wholesome family experience. The recent addition of upgrades and an enthusiastic approach by the staff underscore a commitment to improving the guest experience. It is a genuine 'escape the chaos' destination, close enough for a quick trip from many Vermont towns, yet remote enough to feel like a true wilderness getaway. It’s a nice place. However, they NEED to upgrade their electrical service. Never have I been to a campground with under 100v. AC will barely function and it’s terrible for your unit to run on voltage that low. Community sewer hose at the dump station is gross. I’ve never seen that anywhere else.
Sep 25, 2025 · Dave JoyalNice campsite, great access to New Haven and Otter creek rivers. Only one building for facilities, which made it inconvenient depending on where you were located.
Jul 19, 2025 · edward mccarthy jr.My family - and the families of several good friends - have been visiting River's Bend several times a year for many years and always enjoy our time there. The campground sits in a beautiful location at the juncture of the New Haven River and Otter Creek, is well maintained - including numerous upgrades since the new ownership took over the property - and has hosts who work hard to ensure all their guests are able to enjoy their stay. I'd highly recommend this campground, and look forward to our next stay!
Jun 19, 2024 · Rob McGregorThis is a very nice campground. We went tenting with our family and they love the river, pool, swings and even more the space. They had an spectacular fireworks show due to 4th of July, it was amazing!!! Only thing I do suggest for this camping to be perfect is that they add a bathroom or even a toilet closer to sites5,4,3,2,1, maybe near the trash?? Even a portable toilet helps when small children needs a bathroom at night time or an emergency. The main bathroom is far from these sites. Thank you for having us! We hope to Come back!
Jul 07, 2024 · cristian cruzI had a terrible experience. Campsite is very trashy. Workers are unfriendly and unaccommodating. 0/10 save your money and try a state park
