Customer Reviews
One of my favorite campgrounds to visit, I try to stop in at least once a year. Located in White Pines Forest State Park is my favorite area, Cedar Ridge Family Campground. This family friendly location is nonelectric, so it's almost exclusively tent only camping. Not a tent camper, also located within the park are some wonderful cabins. Next to the cabin area is the Lodge featuring a restaurant with fantastic meals, and a fun little gift shop. The restaurant several times a week features a dinner theater, and in late fall the dinner theater puts on a great Christmas comedy version of Scrooge.
Beautiful campground!!! Very large sites nestled in the woods. Trails in the park are near all the campsites, wonderful quiet wooded trails. We went at the end of September and it was mostly empty and quiet. This is our new favorite campground in northern illinois!
We camp here twice a year, always in spot 25. Great size lot, trees to hang a hammock, potty near by and running water, showers and flushing toilets in the vicinity. Black raspberries along the back of the lot when it's season and plenty of shade in the evening! Love White Pines!
Great place to stay and not fair from town. Would love to have had the quiet hours more enforced.
Nice campground. Clean bathrooms. A little tightly packed for the campsites. Trails not well marked for hiking.
