Their value proposition appears to lie in their affordability for long-term residents and the quality of the maintained environment. Therefore, potential "offers" or benefits for prospective residents might focus on:
- Competitive Long-Term/Seasonal Rates: The park is described as "affordable," suggesting that their core pricing for seasonal or yearly leases is competitively set to attract and retain long-term residents. Inquiring about these rates directly would be key.
- Inclusion of Utilities: While not specified, some long-term RV parks may include certain utilities (like water or sewer) within the monthly or seasonal lot rent, which acts as a form of value-add, effectively a "special offer" compared to parks where all utilities are extra.
- Site Improvement Opportunities: One review mentions residents "pay to improve your site." While this isn't a promotion by the park, it suggests a policy that allows residents to personalize and invest in their leased space, which can be a significant benefit for long-term residents seeking to create a more permanent feel for their RV home.
Given the emphasis on seasonal and yearly residency and the reported low vacancies, prospective residents are strongly advised to directly contact Harbortown RV Park at (319) 361-6868. Customer Reviews
My family has used Harbortown RV park for nearly 30 years and while Terry and Dana haven't always been the owners I can tell you they've invested much time and effort into making it a family friendly neat and clean Park! The amount of effort and consideration for yearly residency is top notch! Great people and a great and a affordable park, I'd highly recommend it if you can find a vacancies because people never want to leave.
We were seasonals at Harbortown RV park for 2 seasons. The accommodations are nice, as long as YOU pay to improve your site. The park rules only apply to renters, NOT the owners. Park owners have been known to consume excessive amounts of alcohol and create problems for their park renters. In my opinion, this is NOT a family friendly campground.
Harbortown RV Park is in a central location to enjoy activities both on and off the Mark Twain Lake and area. Short distances from access points on the lake for fishing, boating and swimming. Local restaurants, amusements, festivals and shops to explore.
We have stayed at Harbourtown for almost 10 years. It's a great property! One of the best places at MTL
Our 2nd year and We love it, quiet, safe and great property owners! Highly recommend if you can get in
