Rivers Edge RV and Stables About
Hello, fellow Arkansans! Are you an RV enthusiast or someone traveling with horses, looking for a convenient and accommodating stop in the beautiful Northwest Arkansas region? While finding the perfect spot can sometimes be a challenge, Rivers Edge RV and Stables in Springdale offers a unique combination of RV facilities and equestrian amenities, aiming to cater to a diverse range of travelers. This park presents itself as a potential base for exploring the vibrant attractions and natural beauty of the area. For those of us across Arkansas planning our next road trip or equestrian adventure, understanding the specific offerings and considerations of Rivers Edge RV and Stables can help you make an informed decision for your journey.
Rivers Edge RV and Stables is an RV park that distinguishes itself by also catering to horse owners, making it a dual-purpose facility in the Springdale area. The park aims to provide a place for RVs to set up with essential hookups, while also offering stables for those traveling with horses. While customer experiences can vary, the park generally provides fundamental services expected of an RV park. Its focus on being an RV park with an added stable feature indicates an effort to serve a niche market, particularly those involved in equestrian activities or simply seeking a rural feel with their RV. Like any destination, understanding its layout and specific site conditions is key to ensuring it meets your personal travel needs and preferences. It’s always helpful to gather as much information as possible to align your expectations with the realities of the park.
Rivers Edge RV and Stables is located at 20751 Blue Springs Village Rd, Springdale, AR 72764, USA. This address places it within the larger Springdale area, a significant city in Northwest Arkansas and part of the rapidly growing Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers Metropolitan Area. For Arkansans, Springdale is a well-known hub, accessible via major interstates and highways, particularly I-49, which runs north-south through the region.
While Springdale itself is easily accessible, the park's specific location on Blue Springs Village Road suggests it is situated in a more outlying, potentially rural part of the Springdale area. This can offer a quieter environment compared to being directly in the city center. However, visitors should be aware of the exact distance and travel time from major highways and popular destinations. One past customer noted it was "Far away from I-49," and about "over 30 minutes to get to Pig Trail HD," indicating that while in Springdale, it might be a bit of a drive to reach some specific points of interest within Northwest Arkansas. The park is described as being "very hilly," and some interior roads may have gravel and "huge holes," which are important considerations for maneuvering larger RVs, especially "44 ft of rigging with an F350 dually," and for motorcycle safety. Understanding these access nuances is crucial for planning your journey to Rivers Edge RV and Stables.
Based on the provided customer feedback, Rivers Edge RV and Stables offers a combination of standard RV park amenities and some unique equestrian features.
- RV Sites: The park offers RV sites, including "concrete slab pull through" options, indicating various site types to accommodate different RV sizes.
- Hookups: While not explicitly detailed for all sites, the presence of an RV park generally implies essential hookups like electricity and water are available. Guests would need to confirm specific hookup types (e.g., 30 amp, 50 amp) upon booking.
- Stables for Horses: A key distinguishing service is the provision of "stables" on-site, catering specifically to visitors traveling with horses. This is a unique offering for equestrian enthusiasts.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: The presence of park staff who are generally "nice and polite" suggests a welcoming environment, and many RV parks are pet-friendly, though this should be confirmed directly.
- Staff Interaction: The park has office staff, although experiences with specific individuals may vary, as noted in one review.
It is important to note that, according to one review, sites may not always include a "grill or picnic table," and specific site conditions, such as "rocks and gravel all around the slab" and "extremely loose" gravel, should be clarified when booking to ensure they meet your needs. The condition of internal roads with "huge holes" is also a point to consider for safe navigation.
Rivers Edge RV and Stables presents several features and highlights that might appeal to specific types of travelers, though some aspects noted in reviews warrant consideration.
- Equestrian Facilities: A primary highlight is the availability of "stables," making it a highly suitable option for horse owners traveling with their animals. This dual RV and stables setup is a niche offering in the region.
- Concrete Slab Pull-Through Sites: The availability of "concrete slab pull through" sites offers a level and solid base for RVs, which can be a desirable feature for stability and ease of setup, though the surrounding gravel needs to be noted.
- Generally Quiet Park (Potentially): One reviewer mentioned it's a "nice, quiet park," suggesting that at times, guests can enjoy a peaceful environment, though another mentioned a loud AC unit nearby.
- Proximity to Springdale: Being in Springdale provides access to city amenities, shopping, and dining, as well as being a hub for exploring Northwest Arkansas.
- Staff Presence: The presence of staff, generally described as "nice and polite" (with one exception noted), offers a level of on-site assistance.
However, it's crucial for potential visitors to be aware of some challenges highlighted by past guests:
- Site Maneuverability: The "incline of rocks" to get onto slabs, loose gravel, and narrow turning radii can make it "difficult to unload the Harleys without pulling out into the street" and challenging to "maneuver 44 ft of rigging with an F350 dually."
- Road Conditions: "Huge holes in the road in front of us and when you make the turn to leave the park" are noted as "Extremely dangerous for bikes and not so good for RV tires/axels." The park is also "very hilly."
- Noise Concerns: One site had an "AC unit that was loud and never stopped running for 3 days and nights," impacting the ability to enjoy the outdoors.
- Limited Site Amenities: The absence of a "grill or picnic table" at some sites, as noted by a reviewer, might require campers to bring their own.
- Customer Service Incident: A specific negative interaction with an office staff member named Brenda was noted, highlighting a potential area for inconsistent hospitality.
Based on the provided information, Rivers Edge RV and Stables does not advertise explicit "promotions" or "special offers" in the traditional sense, such as discounted rates or package deals. The primary "offer" of the park is its unique combination of RV sites and equestrian stables, catering to a specific audience of travelers.
- Dual RV and Stables Offering: For those traveling with horses, the ability to board their animals on-site while staying in their RV is a significant convenience and a specialized service that acts as a unique selling proposition. This integrated facility saves horse owners the trouble of finding separate accommodations for themselves and their horses.
- Concrete Slab Sites: The provision of concrete slabs for RVs can be seen as a premium feature for stability and cleanliness, which might be preferred by some RVers.
However, potential visitors should manage their expectations regarding other amenities that might be considered standard promotions elsewhere, such as complimentary picnic tables or grills at every site, or perfectly maintained internal roads, as these were points of contention for past guests. It is always recommended to contact Rivers Edge RV and Stables directly to inquire about their current rates, any specific package deals they might offer (e.g., for long-term stays or horse boarding), and to confirm the exact amenities and site conditions for the spot you intend to book. This direct communication is crucial to ensure the park meets your specific needs and expectations for your stay in Springdale.

It is highly recommended to call Rivers Edge RV and Stables directly to discuss your specific needs before booking. Given the varied feedback regarding site conditions, road quality, and amenities, a direct conversation will allow you to confirm that the park can accommodate your RV size (especially larger rigs like a "44 ft toy hauler"), clarify what amenities are included with your chosen site (e.g., picnic table, grill), and inquire about the current state of the internal roads. If you are traveling with horses, discussing stable availability and requirements is also essential. This proactive communication will help manage expectations and ensure a smoother arrival and stay.
Rivers Edge RV and Stables offers a specific set of features that could make it suitable for certain Arkansans looking for an RV park experience. For locals who prioritize the convenience of having on-site stables for their horses, this park is a distinct option in the Northwest Arkansas region. Its location in Springdale, while potentially a drive to some specific points of interest, still provides access to the broader amenities and attractions of a major city in our state.
The availability of concrete slab pull-through sites can be a positive for RVers seeking stable parking. For those who are less concerned about perfectly manicured grounds or having a picnic table and grill at every site, and more focused on a functional place to park their RV, particularly if traveling with horses, Rivers Edge could serve as a practical base. However, for Arkansans with large RVs or motorcycles, or those who prioritize smooth internal roads and consistent noise levels for outdoor enjoyment, it's crucial to make direct inquiries and potentially view sites before booking. Ultimately, for the right type of traveler – especially the equestrian enthusiast – Rivers Edge RV and Stables offers a unique combination of facilities in our beautiful Northwest Arkansas.
Customer Reviews
Everyone but Brenda are very nice and polite but Brenda is never hateful, I made a comment about the potholes being repaired and she said hatefully "Well it wasn't me" and I said " Geez I was just trying to be nice" if she hates her job so much she doesn't have to take it out on us. She doesn't belong in the office anymore
Never again. I rented a concrete slab pull through for our 44 ft toy hauler for Bikes, Blues and BBQ, They failed to mention that there were rocks and gravel all around the slab. To get onto the slab, we had to go up an incline of rocks, which made it difficult to unload the Harleys without pulling out into the street in front of the RV to be able to lower the ramp. We had to put moving blankets down for the ramp to sit on so we didn't scratch the outside of the ramp when getting the bikes out. The gravel at the front of the RV was extremely loose. The neighbor in front of the RV came and griped at us that we were blocking the road while we were trying to unload and then said they should never have put us in that space, but hey, it's a "nice, quiet park". Not quite. The trailer on the opposite side behind our RV had an AC unit that was loud and never stopped running for 3 days and nights to the point that you wouldn't have been able to sit outside and enjoy the firepit. Mind you, there's no grill or picnic table, either. Huge holes in the road in front of us and when you make the turn to leave the park. Extremely dangerous for bikes and not so good for RV tires/axels. The park is also very hilly and with all that gravel, it wasn't the best place to try to maneuver 44 ft of rigging with an F350 dually. Far away from I-49 and about over 30 minutes to get to Pig Trail HD, where most of the rally was happening. We will NOT be going back. Picture shows the RV while unloading. If we had tried to unload without being pulled out into the street, the ramp would have been angled down closer to a 90° angle.
This Was An Ok, basic Spot To Overnight; pretty expensive at $60/night, but they did give either Sr discount or veteran discount of 10%. This is certainly not a resort, and is at least a quarter mile from White River, feeding Beaver Lake. Pretty Large RV PK, With Many Permanent Residents. No sign at entrance, and we passed it by winding around a neighborhood of houses that was between the RV Park and the true water’s Edge. Verizon signal was good at 3 jiggers; and stronger than their wifi. We were about 100 yds from nice new looking bathhouse which had wifi antenna with good reception at bathhouse but weak at our camper. Supposedly there are repeaters to amplify the WiFi signal, but they were not operational. We got by streaming YouTube TV through our Verizon Hotspot on our phones. We had to buy an extra sewer hose to connect to sewer, as it was placed so far toward entrance of the site, rather than toward rear of site where electric and water were appropriately placed. Nice courteous staff. We were on a level, narrow concrete pad; ~half of sites were gravel; no picnic table.
Very little shade, lots of road noise, high priced and management never available. I've never even seen her. Other than that it's great.
Great place. Internet is slow. But park is nice and clean
