Introduction / Overview
For New Jersey RV enthusiasts seeking a blend of natural tranquility and family-friendly recreation, Roamers Beach RV Resort in Hammonton presents a compelling option. Tucked away in the geographic center of South Jersey’s attractions, this destination is tailored specifically for the RV, motorhome, and pop-up camper community—note that traditional tent camping is not permitted here. This specialization ensures that the resort caters effectively to the needs of travelers with recreational vehicles, offering the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable and extended stay.
What immediately sets Roamers Beach RV Resort apart is its defining feature: the beautiful, swimmable lake with sandy beaches. It provides a unique "beach" atmosphere far from the crowded shorelines of the Jersey Coast. This lakefront setting is the heart of the resort, offering many sites that sit directly on the water, allowing children and families to enjoy water play and relaxation right outside their door. As one visitor noted, "We have a site (there are many) that sit right on the beach and the kids can just play in the water all day."
While the resort maintains an older, traditional campground feel that some reviewers mention, its established presence is what contributes to the quieter, less-frenzied environment. It’s a place for a traditional, uncrowded camping experience where the focus is on outdoor activities, family time, and the peaceful waterside setting. It is the ideal local spot for those looking to unplug from the city grind without venturing too far off the beaten path, offering essential RV amenities paired with classic, simple recreational fun.
Location and Accessibility
Roamers Beach RV Resort is conveniently located at 2021 Skip Morgan Drive in Hammonton, NJ 08037, USA. Its South Jersey location is a significant advantage for New Jersey residents, positioning it perfectly as a central hub for exploring the entire region.
Known as the "Blueberry Capital of the World," Hammonton itself is a charming town with an easy drive time from much of Southern and Central New Jersey. The resort’s location provides quick access to major roadways, making the journey simple for RVs and motorhomes. Within a relatively short drive, campers can reach major attractions such as the historic Batsto Village in Wharton State Forest, Atlantic City’s casinos and boardwalk, and various wineries and breweries in the local Hammonton area.
The resort’s internal accessibility is also key. It features over 200 sites designed to accommodate RVs up to 21 feet, with pull-thru sites available for ease of maneuvering larger vehicles. While it maintains a peaceful atmosphere, it is not deep in the Pine Barrens wilderness, striking a perfect balance between natural environment and convenient access to local services and attractions. The property may have historically been known as Indian Branch Park Campground, and now operates as Roamers Beach RV Resort, consistently located at the same address.

It serves as an easy, nearby destination that provides all the essential comforts of an RV park—full hookups and Wi-Fi—while delivering a unique lakefront camping experience.

This makes it an ideal spot for short weekend trips or extended seasonal stays without the long drive and high cost associated with coastal resorts.
Furthermore, its location in Hammonton places it in the geographical center of South Jersey’s cultural and natural attractions. Campers can use the resort as a comfortable home base to explore the Pinelands, visit Atlantic City, or enjoy the local farm-to-table cuisine and wineries, making it a highly versatile vacation destination. By providing a quiet, established, and family-oriented environment, Roamers Beach RV Resort fulfills the local need for a reliable, unpretentious, and accessible RV retreat in the Garden State.

I booked the sight a month in advance and nobody mentions that the showers don’t work. I didn’t get a phone call until we had already checked in and paid and the kids were in the lake. This is when they decided to tell me the showers haven’t been working all season because they under renovations. Would have been good to know this prior to staying there. Other then that, nice sights, great view but definitely need updating all around.
Aug 23, 2019 · Daniel CicalaLet me start by saying this campground IS on the older side. It’s not going to give you all the amenities that some will offer, but we love the lake!! We have a site (there are many) that sit right on the beach and the kids can just play in the water all day. They even have Sunday church service if you’re interested. It’s pretty quiet and not crowded, so we will definitely be back. Also, WiFi at the campsite is a plus!!!
Jun 21, 2018 · William ShepherdA note to the new owners... What a shame, closed two years in a row. This used to be a nice campground under the previous owners. I don't know what the new owners are like but they seem to be scared of their own shadow. Afraid to open up unlike EVERY OTHER CAMPGROUND in South Jersey. We love the lake and those sites but they lost our business for good.
Apr 16, 2022 · ToddMy husband and I were at this campground last weekend for a mini vacation. We fell in love with Indian Branch last year and Roamers is on it's way to making this campground amazing. The sites are perfect, not packed in like some other parks. The staff is VERY friendly, talked to everyone that works there. Overall we did not want to leave!
Jun 26, 2019 · Bernadette VarelliI suggest you check this place out before you make reservations. I really wanted to like this place as it is close and a Christian business. I really appreciated seeing Bible verses around the campground. BUT this is super rustic. We basically dry camp with our RV at NJ state campgrounds. All I can say is that most of the state campgrounds are beautiful and half the price. Yes, no hookups but that is not a problem for us. Indian Branch does have WIFI and hook ups but it has no paved roads and it just looks not cared for. We drove around and checked it out - and left.
