This was our fourth year visiting and second year staying at Scalley Lake Campground—and every time, it somehow gets better. We honestly don’t have the words to fully explain how special this place is to us, but here’s our best shot. From the moment we arrived on Wednesday to the time we left on Sunday, everything was peaceful, fun, and beautifully maintained. The fishing is always a highlight (plenty of bites this year!), and having the option to rent kayaks and boats adds such a fun layer of adventure. The campsites are cozy, well-spaced, and come with great fire pits for those long evening chats under the stars. What really sets this campground apart, though, are the owners. They’re incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make sure everyone has what they need for a perfect stay. You can feel how much they care, and that warmth makes all the difference. Plus, if you need to run into town for anything, the drive is super reasonable—close enough for convenience, far enough to feel truly unplugged. Scalley Lake has become a tradition for us, and we can’t imagine Memorial Weekend anywhere else. Already counting down the days until next year!
May 26, 2025 · Amber BlackStew and his daughter Rachel are amazing people. My wife and I stayed in cabin #3, and it was THE Best camping experience we have had!! So kind made us feel like we were old friends from the get go.
May 23, 2023 · RANDY LEIGHTONCabin rental Can't beat the price! The owners were very friendly. Most of the camper sites are seasonal and those folks are very friendly as well. The beach was a good size with some swings and a climbing structure. The water did have quite a bit of green muck we had to scoop away, but that is to be expected in a no-wake lake. Boat rentals were a great price too. The cabins don't have a.c. so they got pretty hot during the day.
Jul 04, 2019 · Hillary KlarrStew was so awesome and helpful! I will definitely be coming back. Cute rustic cabins with almost everything you need and an amazing lake to catch fish on. Boat rentals for a fair price.
Aug 28, 2022 · Brandon DawsonBooking a few lake cabins for family retreat in September. (Booking a year out is recommended) Wonderful area with great family accommodations. Check out the website and fb page for all the info! Stew was able to answer all of my questions. I cant wait!
