Great state park campground! We love staying here. The sites are large, private, and almost leveled. There's a large, very clean bathhouse with separate bathrooms (including one handicapped accessible stall in each) and 4 private shower stalls, one of which is suitable for handicapped. Coin-operated laundry facility included. Easy walk to the river, with several hiking options. Electric (30+50 amp) and water hookups with a damp station and a dumpster on the grounds. The prices are very reasonable and online reservation is avaiable. Firewood is available for sale (self-service) at the host site. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night on a trip to visit Shenandoah National Park. The campground was one of the best state campgrounds we’ve stayed at. It had nice graveled large, fairly private sites. The bathhouse was excellent, seemed like it was recently remodeled. Restrooms are well maintained. On-site laundry as well. Highly recommended.

Beautiful views of the mountains from campsite. Shenandoah River is right there on the campsite, would be great for the summer months. Tons of trails great for families with dogs or those wanting to get out and hike. The campsite featured some of the best bathroom / shower houses, they were super clean and well maintained. Each campsite had tons of space and was gravel and featured a picnic table and fire pit. We had electric and water hookups at our site. There was a dump site available. There were several gas stations nearby and we were less than 30 minutes away from Front Royal and the entrance to Shenandoah National Park. We paid $46 a night for the campsite and felt it was worth it.
