Location and Accessibility

Sioux Falls KOA Journey is conveniently located at 1401 E Robur Dr, Sioux Falls, SD 57104, USA. This strategic address places it within the city limits of Sioux Falls, South Dakota's largest urban center. Its designation as a "KOA Journey" campground specifically means it's designed for traveling campers, typically situated near highways and byways for easy access.

The campground's location is a significant advantage for both transient travelers and local South Dakotans looking for a nearby getaway. Being "right off the interstate" (likely I-90 or I-29, given Sioux Falls' layout) ensures effortless arrival and departure, minimizing navigation challenges for those towing large RVs. This accessibility makes it an ideal "stop-over for camping" as highlighted by visitors. Furthermore, its placement within Sioux Falls means it's "within 10 minutes of Downtown," offering campers convenient access to the city's myriad attractions, including Falls Park, the historic downtown shopping district, and various dining options. The proximity to an RV service center right next door, a Camping World, adds an extra layer of convenience for RV owners needing supplies or assistance.

While located within an urban area, potentially near an industrial zone that might bring some ambient noise from traffic or planes, the overall perception from reviews suggests a "beautiful" campground with "lots of trees" and a "super clean" environment. This indicates that despite its accessibility, the campground manages to maintain a pleasant atmosphere. For South Dakota residents, this location offers the best of both worlds: the peace and facilities of a well-maintained campground combined with the ease of reaching city amenities and exploring local attractions.

Only stayed for a night, so I can't vouch for the amenities and things... but I wanted to review because of Brian. He greeted us when we pulled up and he walked us to our site. Then he helped us back up into our spot (it was our first time backing up our trailer). He was very patient, kind, and helpful. He also delivered wood to our site. He made our short stay memorable, and we will likely return because of his wonderful service!

They have a very nice pickleball court! It felt great to get out of the vehicle after a long day of travel and loosen up the legs with game play. The campground was beautiful, lots of trees, super clean, and friendly staff. We stayed on a Saturday night and enjoyed supper at the food truck. I don’t know how often there is a food truck there, but we sure appreciated it!

Clean and convenient. Easy to get in and nice for walking dog. Noise up a little due to location but that is why it's convenient. Good area to sit, eat and visit with friends. (Many of these questions aren't applicable for a campground. )

Cute little campground. Staff were over the top friendly and helpful. Located conveniently next to the freeway. So if you are looking for peace and quiet this is not your spot. But for a short stay it has all the amenities you need. Nice clean restrooms and showers. Brand new little pickleball court, basket ball court, corn hole and a pool. All small but in good shape. I would go back!

Nice large sites. Good grass area for dogs. Easy and easy out. All spots were level. We were in a 41 foot Super C Motorhome towing a Fiat.
