My great grandmother Julia Posz bought the land for this park, built the original grandstand and shelter then donated the land to the city. She's also responsible for the WWI memorial at the entrance to the park, which her son, Les Posz, literally fought in the same area and city they came from in France during WWI. This is a gem hidden in the rough. Visit it, love it, but keep it a secret.
