Customer Reviews
I am rating this location with one star due to several issues encountered during my visit. My mother paid an additional fee for parking, yet the front desk representative informed us that parking was on a first-come, first-served basis. We did not arrive right at opening time because the confirmation email did not specify this requirement. Given that my mother paid for parking, we should not have been expected to arrive early. The parking area is quite limited, accommodating only about twenty vehicles. During our visit, many guests were circling the lot, waiting for available spaces to open up, which was quite frustrating. Notably, one guest paid for four parking spaces, yet the front desk staff told everyone—including us—that we could park anywhere. At check-in, the front desk attendant provided sticky notes with our reservation name, indicating that each vehicle had to display a note on the windshield. However, as we searched for a parking spot, we noticed numerous vehicles without sticky notes. Other guests commented that the attendant had not enforced the rule regarding the sticky notes, allowing some individuals to park without paying. Additionally, when we attempted to rent tubes, we were informed that none were available, necessitating a two-mile walk to another location to secure rentals. In summary, I advise against paying for extra parking until confirming availability or arriving early to avoid similar issues.
Truly enjoyed my time at Son’s. Kat our host was most helpful and pleasant. We had a special treat when a thunder storm rolled in. We snuggled, comfy and dry listening to the rain fall on our bone dry tent. Great location - amazing showers - the perfect wrap up to a day on the Guadalupe.
First of all this place is really nice and comfortable. But the best treat was having a host like Ms Kat to accommodate us was very pleasant. This lady was amazing and so helpful. A very pleasant and happy lady. I have been to a lot of places in Texas, But the service we received from Kat was amazing. Thanks so ms Kat, for all ur hard work. We really appreciate it. 🙏
I loved coming to this spot until May 16,2025 when we where asked to leave due to us being outside our tent and talking after 11pm. We come to these places to relax from the City and we are asked to be quiet and go to bed at a certain time was not fair to me or my family that paid for 2 night stay and wasn't even able to enjoy a full day. We proceeded to agree we would turn off music by 11pm but we did not think we had to be in our literal tents by 11pm. The lady proceeded to call the police and complain about our noise level which we had already turned of our music and where just sitting having a conversation with family.Police came and allowed us to stay due to reasons. This lady proceeded to records us all night when we where packing our bags to leave first thing in the morning due to us not being able to stay any longer in the property. She was very rude and got super close to one of my sisters and was in no way respectful to us. I have came to this property 3 times now and never had had any issues with any of the people around us or even the workers about our music or voice level. I am very disappointed at the fact my daughter could not enjoy her whole birthday stay due to this lady PLUS showers flooding and not working, tents full of spiders that we had to kill and put spray all around the tent. AC Unit was not working properly or cooling. Will not be coming back.
I love SONS PROPERTIES! I have visited other of their properties and this was my second time visiting Sons Guadalupe! We had never ever had issues but this past weekend was made a nightmare by the lady in the front desk. Love the place (even though the showers and restrooms were not working properly) but that lady really needs to get her duty together. Demanding people to be inside their tents is not her role. We were following rules but she still insisted in telling us that neighbors were complaining of our noise. Literally, we only had two neighbors very far away and they also mentioned that this lady was telling them the same thing. Our noise level was very “quiet hours” but she still called the cops and made our stay exhausting. After speaking with the cops (which they also agreed with us but it was a private property so they couldn’t do much) we were asked to leave the next day. While packing our things that same night, she continuously kept coming and recording my family and children. We will never come back to this place!
