Promotions or Special Offers

While specific, general promotions are not explicitly detailed in the provided information for Gypsy River Resort, the reviews offer insights into the unique value propositions and operational aspects that Texans should consider. The most significant "special offer" for many is the experience during the off-season, which provides a quieter and potentially more serene environment compared to peak times. Here’s what can be inferred:

Gypsy River Resort likely has varying rates for peak season (typically summer and major holidays) versus off-season (fall, winter, and spring). The sentiment "We love winter camping mostly because of less people around" suggests that the quieter atmosphere during these times is a major draw, effectively acting as a benefit that might outweigh direct monetary discounts for some. While the camp store/office might be closed during off-season, the willingness of staff to assist with purchases like "beer and ice" implies a level of accommodating service that adds value. The review mentions paying for showers, indicating that some amenities might incur additional fees, which is common in campgrounds. For precise pricing, minimum stay requirements (especially during peak holiday weekends), and any specific deals that might be available, Texans are strongly encouraged to contact Gypsy River Resort directly. Inquiry about their policy on river cleanliness, given the customer note about "beer cans in the water," would also be beneficial for those who prioritize pristine conditions. Directly calling or checking their official channels will provide the most accurate and current information on rates, availability, and any special conditions that apply to your desired camping experience on the Guadalupe.

RV sites are convenient to the river and there were only 2 or 3 other campers here. We had a great time. It’s a nice time of year to be on the Guadalupe if the river congestion isn’t your favorite experience. Loved the picnic tables in the water. Didn’t love all the beer cans in the water. I picked out a dozen or more. The Gypsy Resort staff could be better stewards of the river by cleaning up what may (or may not) be their guests’ debris. Because it was off season, they didn’t have anyone in the office/camp store so renting anything or grabbing quick snacks wasn’t an option. I did ask the gentleman cleaning the property to sell me some beer and ice and he was happy to accommodate and very polite. The showers were not my favorite. I didn’t mind paying for the showers but I’d like a towel hook, or place to hang my clean/dry clothes. The shower heads were very clogged with mineral deposits. On the bright side, the water was warm. Lastly, no grills available. For the price per night, I just want a nice shower, so that’s mostly why I gave it 4 stars. I think I’d rebook this again next fall for another quick weekend getaway.

A good friend of mine referred this little gem in the river. I had the pleasure of staying with Thelma last weekend. Thelma is an old soul after my own heart. She’s helped a lot of people on their journey and I’m glad to be one of them. After a day of playing in the sun, floating and catching cans outta the river, it was true comfort to come back home to Thelma. Check in was easy and fast. I booked her the same day and arrived a few hours later. it was the most chill weekend ever. I think I found my new favorite getaway. I’ll be back Thelma 🚐 🍁 🌙 💕

We spent my husband's birthday weekend here and we had a blast! Everybody who worked there was so incredibly nice. It was a fun and laid back atmosphere. The river is absolutely gorgeous and it's a great spot to hang out and cool off. The view from the bungalows is so pretty, and there are so many trees that we had shade pretty much all day. We will be back!

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had camping on the river. They make you pay extra $25 PER TRIP, if you want to actually float the river so be prepared to pay more than you should for a tiny camping spot and to float. We couldn't even use 1 out of 8 camping spots I reserved because it barely even fit an SUV. So we had to give up a non refundable spot because they refused to move the person that was invading the spot we couldn't use. Then we got yelled at by the owner. How absolutely unprofessional. You could have handled everything at a respectful manner and not immediately try to get use removed for a simple question. I'll never come back, and I would suggest a different place to camp because this place is not it. The only person who was helpful was Nicole. They also barely follow their own rules and still allow dogs even tho it states no dogs during a certain time, and saw 4 dogs on the property that were not a service animal. Also the showers at .25 cents for 3 minutes and they let the women's restrooms go without toilet paper all morning on Sunday. They have no fire pits, no grills, and everything is WAY overpriced. I should have gone down the road for half the price but choose Gypsy due to personal recommendations and prior stays. But NEVER AGAIN. I'll be going back to FIMFO, a 100% more family friendly and WAY more to do!
