Location and Accessibility

Sun Ridge RV Park is conveniently located at 107 Co Rd 4659, Rhome, TX 76078, USA. This address places the RV park in Rhome, a growing community nestled in Wise County, North Texas. Rhome offers a peaceful, semi-rural atmosphere that provides a welcome escape from the constant buzz of larger urban centers, while still ensuring accessibility to necessary services and the wider Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Being on a county road, the park enjoys a degree of seclusion that contributes to its quiet environment. However, it maintains excellent connectivity to major state highways, particularly US-287, which provides a direct route to Fort Worth and other key areas. This strategic positioning means that residents of Sun Ridge RV Park can easily access:

The proximity to Fort Worth also opens up opportunities for cultural attractions, diverse dining, and entertainment venues.
  • Regional Connectivity: The ease of access to major highways is particularly beneficial for RVers who travel frequently, allowing for smooth and efficient transitions to and from the park for their adventures across Texas and beyond.

Services Offered

Based on customer reviews, Sun Ridge RV Park offers a range of services designed to enhance the comfort and convenience of its residents. While some technical issues were noted, the park strives to provide essential amenities:

  • RV Site Rentals: The core service is the rental of individual RV sites for parking and living in recreational vehicles.
  • Full Hookups: Sites are equipped with essential utility connections, including electricity (specifically 50A mentioned), water, and sewer connections, enabling residents to fully utilize their RV's systems. It's important to note that while provided, one review highlighted issues with power sufficiency at certain sites.
  • On-site Management/Owner Support: The owner, John, is described as "super awesome," "always helpful," and demonstrating "empathy." He is highly responsive, even addressing issues "right there after hrs," indicating a strong commitment to resident support.
  • Laundry Mat: The park features a "clean" laundry mat, which is a valuable amenity for long-term RVers, offering convenience for managing personal laundry.
  • Dog Park: A "dog park" is available, described as "ok" by one user, providing a dedicated space for pets to exercise and play, a significant benefit for pet owners.
  • Maintenance Assistance: The owner personally ensures maintenance is available, as demonstrated by getting staff "right there after hrs" when an RV flooded. This indicates responsive maintenance support.
  • Community Atmosphere: The park fosters a friendly and helpful community where "Most everyone is friendly and helpful," contributing to a positive social environment.

It is important for prospective residents to be aware of the reported issues with "sufficient" power at certain sites, particularly for RVs running multiple AC units. This suggests a need to verify power stability upon arrival, or request a site known to have consistent power.

Features / Highlights

Sun Ridge RV Park is distinguished by several key features and highlights that contribute to its overall resident experience:

  • Exceptional Owner/Management: The most consistently praised feature is the owner, John, who is described as "super awesome," "always helpful," and "awesome person." His responsiveness, empathy, and willingness to assist, even "after hrs," are significant highlights that foster a strong sense of security and support among residents.
  • Quiet Environment (with Train Awareness): The park is generally "quiet," contributing to a peaceful living experience. However, it's important to note the presence of a "train at night blowing the horn 2-3 times." While one resident stated, "it doesn't bother me," this is a specific sound profile prospective residents should be aware of.
  • Pet-Friendly with Dog Park: The inclusion of a dedicated "dog park" makes Sun Ridge RV Park particularly appealing to pet owners, providing a safe and enclosed area for pets to play.
  • Clean Laundry Facilities: The "clean" laundry mat is a practical and appreciated amenity, enhancing daily convenience for residents.
  • Friendly and Helpful Community: Residents report that "Most everyone is friendly and helpful," indicating a positive social atmosphere where neighbors are supportive, contributing to a welcoming environment.
  • Shaded Spots (Limited, but desirable): The availability of "allot of shade" at some spots is highly valued, especially in the Texas heat, providing natural cooling and comfort. However, the feedback suggests these are limited and highly sought after.
  • Ongoing Site Maintenance: The quick response to an RV flood incident demonstrates a commitment to resolving issues and maintaining the park's functionality.

The primary concern highlighted is the "insufficient" power at some sites, particularly for high-demand RVs. This is a critical technical detail that prospective residents should inquire about and confirm for their specific needs.

For specific promotions or special offers at Sun Ridge RV Park, it is always recommended to contact the park directly. RV parks often have varying rates for daily, weekly, and monthly stays, and may offer incentives to attract or retain residents. Potential offers could include:

Prospective residents should inquire about all available pricing structures and clarify what is included in the quoted rates. Given the feedback about power issues, it would also be prudent to ask about any site-specific power reliability guarantees or alternative solutions if consistent power is a concern. I have a 5 star because the owner has been super awesome. Rv flooded last evening and he got maintenance right there after hrs. John is a awesome person and always helpful. Being alone with dogs has been much better with his advice and empathy. I have only been to dog park once but was ok. The laundry mat clean. It's quiet except train at night but it doesn't bother me. I would recommend people to come check out park. Most everyone is friendly and helpful.

This was probably I'm only giving 2 stars because the park manager is a very nice person and very professional in his doings with us. Once we arrived we were in a spot with allot of shade. We plugged into our service panel and immediately had issues with the power being sufficient enough for our coach. We are running 2 A/C units and microwave. And the breaker (50a) is not providing enough amps to hold the units on. I did do an inspection on the service panel and what I found is not what the panel requires. So I spent several hrs to get it to spec, removing the not specified breakers and wire size and removing the braided wire for solid copper wire. This particular panel is telling you to use certain breakers and wires. The manager did offer another location in the park. We declined do to the non shaded spot. We only wanted this one, because of the shaded spot. And we were willing to spend the money for it. All this would of been manageable if I didn't have two seniors with me. I could not let my parents suffer all night without cool air. Finally I was able to kick on the main AC at 3 am and one is what we delt with until moving in the morning. So on top of this issue our naghbor from a few spots down has had many issues with power. And then to find out that there is several RV's that have service panel issues. It's to bad, we liked this park. If you can't sleep because of the train passing by and blowing the horn 2-3 times a night then it's not for you.

Good shower but sloped tiles, good laundry but half capacity, good view but poor stinch, good neighbors with next day eviction. Would recommend R.V.O.A.
