Located at 20 County Rd NW 1030, the park benefits from being "out of town" enough to offer a peaceful environment, yet still boasts "easy access to Mt Vernon." This dual benefit is a key aspect of its appeal, providing a serene setting without isolating residents from local conveniences. The park is owned by Floyd and Kelly Fowler, indicating a family or individual ownership structure that often leads to more personalized management.

A significant characteristic of The Lazy Frog RV Park is its demographic: it is primarily occupied by "long term" residents. This suggests a community of individuals and families who have chosen Mt. Vernon as an extended base, whether for work, exploring the East Texas region, or simply enjoying a more settled RV lifestyle. While some older reviews mention aspects like "run down" areas or roads not being in the best shape, it's worth noting that the park was renovated in 2023 and has expanded its number of pads, indicating ongoing efforts by management to improve the facilities. Positive feedback consistently highlights the responsiveness of management, particularly regarding utility issues like WiFi and electrical hookups. The park's commitment to ensuring essential services are functioning correctly, even going as far as allowing a free charge during a power outage, showcases a commendable level of customer service and community spirit from the owner, Floyd.

Location and Accessibility

The Lazy Frog RV Park is strategically situated at 20 County Rd NW 1030, Mt. Vernon, TX 75457, USA. Mt. Vernon, nestled in Franklin County, is a charming East Texas town known for its natural beauty and a blend of history and outdoor activities. The RV park's location provides convenient access to the town's offerings, including local restaurants, shops, and community events. For those seeking outdoor recreation, Mt. Good location. Easy access to Mt Vernon but far enough to be out of town. A few pull thru sites, mostly shaded back in spots. Everyone here is long term at the moment. WiFi was spotty when I arrived and I made management aware. They quickly rectified the situation and now it is outstanding. Priced right for what it is.

Floyd is the owner. There was a power outage at Dukes EV station. He allowed me to come to his park and charge my Ford Lightening enough to get to the Ford dealership, where I could fully charge, for FREE! God bless this man! Will be telling my boss to buy a gas generator to keep in the truck in case of power outages!
