For Michigan residents looking to reconnect with nature in a peaceful and unpretentious setting, TTCM Bellevue Campground offers a unique and appealing option. Located in Bellevue Township, this campground provides a truly rustic experience, focusing on the serene beauty of its natural surroundings. While some modern amenities are present, the emphasis here is on the quiet enjoyment of the outdoors, making it an ideal spot for those who appreciate simplicity and tranquility in their camping adventures.
Spread across 80 acres of rolling hills and wooded terrain, TTCM Bellevue Campground is a haven for wildlife and a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. It's a place where the sounds of nature prevail, and the hustle and bustle of daily life fade away. This campground is particularly well-suited for campers who are largely self-contained or prefer a more traditional, less amenity-intensive camping experience. For Michigan locals, it represents an accessible and affordable opportunity to immerse themselves in the state's beautiful landscapes without venturing too far from home.
TTCM Bellevue Campground is situated in Bellevue Township, MI 49021, USA. This location places the campground in a rural, yet accessible, part of Michigan, offering campers a true escape while remaining within reasonable driving distance of essential services and attractions. Bellevue Township, part of Eaton County, is known for its agricultural landscapes and small-town charm, providing a peaceful backdrop for outdoor recreation.
The campground is located on the North side of Baseline Hwy. To reach it, take I-69 (Exit 48), M-78 (Butterfield Hwy) West 1 mile to Babcock Rd, then South 1 mile to Baseline Hwy. While the road leading to the campground is noted to be gravel and potentially "washboard" in places, the accessibility to the park itself is generally easy, with "easy to park without having to back around obstacles or trees" sites. This straightforward access makes it a convenient choice for RVers and tent campers alike. Furthermore, the campground is approximately 16 miles from Marshall and 26 miles from Battle Creek, offering access to larger towns for supplies, dining, and additional attractions should campers wish to explore beyond the park's tranquil confines. Several lakes are also close by for fishing, and the town of Charlotte (which hosts the Eaton County Fair and Frontier Days) is also a short distance away.
TTCM Bellevue Campground provides essential services designed to cater to a rustic yet comfortable camping experience. It's important for prospective campers, especially those new to this type of setting, to understand the amenities available to ensure their needs are met.
It is important to note that while some reviews mentioned the desire for showers, the current facilities primarily include pit toilets. Campers who require showers should plan to be self-contained or utilize external facilities.
TTCM Bellevue Campground boasts several features and highlights that make it a compelling choice for Michigan locals seeking a genuine outdoor experience.
As TTCM Bellevue Campground is operated by the Travel Trailer Club of the Midwest (TTCM), its promotions and pricing are often tied to club membership or specific events. While public, widely advertised general promotions may not be as frequent as private campgrounds, the core offering is often a significant value.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information on membership benefits, specific event pricing, or Passport America availability, it is highly recommended to visit the official TTCM website or contact the campground directly.
If TTCM Bellevue Campground sounds like the ideal Michigan camping experience for you, here’s how you can get in touch:
For questions regarding membership with the Travel Trailer Club of the Midwest (TTCM), general inquiries about the campground, or to inquire about specific site availability, reaching out to the campground director or the provided email is the best approach.
For residents across Michigan, TTCM Bellevue Campground offers a uniquely suitable and appealing camping experience, particularly for those who value tranquility, affordability, and a strong connection with nature. Its core strengths cater directly to the desires of many local outdoor enthusiasts.
The most frequently highlighted aspect is its "quiet and peaceful" environment, a significant draw for Michiganders looking to escape the stresses of daily life and immerse themselves in the calming sounds of the outdoors. The abundant "wildlife around" further enhances this natural appeal, providing opportunities for nature watching and a true sense of being away from it all. This aligns perfectly with the desire for a true rustic retreat, as opposed to a bustling, highly commercialized campground.
While a review noted the lack of showers and only pit toilets, this characteristic speaks to its "rudimentary campground" nature. For self-contained RVs and campers who prefer a more authentic, less "glamping" experience, this is often seen as a benefit that contributes to the lower cost ("price is gentle on your pocket"). The presence of a "good dump station" and easy-to-park "back-in" sites still ensures practical convenience for RVers, allowing them to enjoy the rustic setting without excessive logistical hurdles.
Furthermore, the campground's features like "marked trails," a "large recreation building with kitchen," a "kids playground," and basketball court provide ample opportunities for both individual relaxation and family-friendly activities. The fact that it is affiliated with the Travel Trailer Club of the Midwest (TTCM) suggests a community-oriented approach, with regular events and volunteer opportunities that foster a sense of belonging and mutual support among campers.
In essence, TTCM Bellevue Campground is an ideal choice for Michigan locals seeking an authentic, peaceful, and affordable camping experience. It's a place to unwind, appreciate wildlife, and enjoy straightforward outdoor living, making it a true gem for those who prioritize nature and value over extensive amenities.
I can’t say anything besides it looks beautiful and lots of wildlife around. Now if there’s no showers you need to get some people need to get sand off themselves. Sounds like a great place to camp and price is gental on your pocket!! It sounds like it’s fun. But plz get a shower I don’t wanna smell everyone’s BO and I’m sure they don’t want sand up their crack all weekend or how long they stay lol
Jun 14, 2023 · Never take Life 4 GrantedVery nice but rudimentary campground. Has only pit toilet so need to be self contained (which is mentioned before you come.) No full hook ups but good dump station. All sites are back in. Easy to park without having to back around obstacles or trees. The road to campground is gravel and very washboard which was a drawback. That is why 4 stars. It was quiet and peacful.
Aug 29, 2018 · Wendy BurkLove love love it here, are you looking for a clean quiet place, then you've found it. It is very Rustic. There are 30amp and 50amp plugs, water hookups. They do have outhouses. No pool but a lake with a dock and boat landing right down the road. The campground is out away from any road noise. All you hear is nature. The Managers are so nice and very helpful. You can become a member or stay as a guest. You can't beat the rates here. If your looking for a party campground then this is not for you. Hope you come check it out!
Jul 01, 2022 · Renee WakefieldI would give it a 5 star but there is NO showers that I could find anyway but that's ok it is clean and neat and play area and lovely campers and camp grounds. The manager is delightful and ready to assist in anyway possible. It is actually easy to get to but sounds a little difficult when booking on phone. Gravel roads but it wasn't very far and well worth it . Great place for the price for sure in our opinion.
Aug 10, 2018 · Trish CokerWe have held family reunions here several years. Some of us are campers and this works out so GREAT. Thank you TTCM. We appreciate you.
