It is a 5 star for being so close to Bardstown. The bathrooms are a little far from the sites and in need of work (we used our own). Otherwise, the sites were adequate. The sites are gravel but most are overgrown with grass. I think the owner/manager is trying to make some improvements. He is very nice and accommodating. There was a mix up and we didn't get the site that we had reserved. He told us that if we didn't like the new site he would gladly give us our money back and I actually think the new site was a better choice. It was also quiet.

White Acres Campground is conveniently located near Bardstown, making it a great base for exploring the Bourbon Trail. While some of the sites could use a bit more maintenance, it was still a perfect spot for our group of friends. The campground is quiet, super affordable, and worked well for our needs. If you’re planning a group trip and want to be close to all the distilleries without breaking the bank, this is a solid choice.

This campground is about five miles off the Bluegrass Parkway so it is very quiet. It’s a gravel campground. There are several pull through and back in sites. It is in a very pretty area. We did not get to see showers or restrooms but they were on site. Mr. White was very helpful after I inadvertently chose a site I really did not want. He was very accommodating and nice. We enjoyed our overnight stay and will probably make this a stop on our future travels.

I gave this a 3 star review for the proximity it is to Bardstown's downtown area. Mammy's and Talbott Tavern were awesome. Our site was nice and with all the rain we stayed dry. The bathroom and shower area needs A LOT of work. I think while we were there for 5 days they might have gone in there once. The trash cans were overflowing and it just needs some TLC. The men's bathroom was not good at all. For at least 3 days there was no toilet paper and someone plugged the one toilet up and the other one was not in order. It was not good - my husband had to bring our own toilet paper in. They have an amazing piece of land and if they really give it some TLC it would be perfect. I think it would payoff in the long run. We made do with what was there.

Super quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for lots of activities at the campground itself, probably not the place. Tons to do in the surrounding area. Just bring your own camp games. Will be back.
