Promotions or Special Offers

As a campground operated within the South Carolina State Park system, White Oaks Campground typically adheres to the standard pricing and reservation policies set by the state. Therefore, traditional "promotions" in the commercial sense (like discounts for first-time visitors or seasonal sales) are less common. However, there are aspects of state park operations that can be considered beneficial or offer value:

  • Consistent Pricing: State parks generally maintain consistent and publicly available pricing for campsites, making budgeting for your trip straightforward.
  • Annual Park Passes: For frequent visitors to South Carolina State Parks, purchasing an annual park pass can offer significant savings on daily park admission fees, which would apply to access Table Rock State Park beyond your camping stay.
  • Senior and Military Discounts: South Carolina State Parks often offer discounts on camping fees for senior citizens (typically residents aged 65 and older) and active duty military personnel or veterans. It is always recommended to inquire about these potential savings when making a reservation.
  • Educational Programs: While not a direct discount, state parks frequently offer free or low-cost interpretive programs, ranger-led hikes, and educational activities that add value to your stay and enhance your understanding of the natural environment.
  • Off-Peak Season Rates: While not always a "promotion," camping rates might be slightly lower during the off-peak seasons (e.g., late fall, winter, early spring) when demand is lower, offering a more budget-friendly time to visit.

While Table Rock State Park, where this campground is located was a pleasure to visit with a large central parking lot that led to all the major trailheads, the campground was a different story. The sites were some of the smallest we have ever seen, often poorly out of level and in many areas water run-off had trenched the sites. This made parking and leveling an RV or travel trailer a major headache. The campground map in no way indicated the proper orientation or extreme smallness of the sites. None of the sites had sewer hookups.Campground road and paths are mostly gravel and poorly maintained. The complete lack of privacy with campsites on top of one another made us forgo our 3 day stay and leave after 1 night. I gave it 2 stars because the one staff member we interacted with was friendly. But tbh, we have never stayed in a more haphazard looking campground. Even our stays at numerous commercial campgrounds were far more spacious and certainly better maintained.

Nice park with some amenities. Swimming, trails. Planned activities throughout the summer. While we are here will be a bluegrass group performing. Site has electric and water. Water pressure was low at our site. Site 87. Had trouble getting level with the amount of blocks I keep in camper. Site was Slopped from center out by a good bit . If we parked in the middle would not have had room out the front. The section we were in was mostly full for the weekend with families hence the stress at checkout “no alcohol allowed in park”. Fairly quite and peaceful with only the noise of an occasional dog or kid , which was ok with us. Park appears to be well maintained over all. Improvement to the sites as with most SC parks could happen but we thoroughly are enjoying are stay.

94 is a great spot in white oaks. White oaks seems to be designed for large groups to camp together. Park rangers are friendly, park is maintained. BUTTTT During our stay a LARGE group had 99% of white oaks booked and they were the loudest group EVER! Kids playing loudly at 930 every night! Kids Shining lights into our camper. I have 4 kids myself so I get kids are going to make noise but when they are just roaming unsupervised at all hours it’s not cool. And it really takes away from the quiet, serene atmosphere that you desire when camping. Would never book this campground again TBH

An overall good campsite. Plenty of room and shade. Ponds, Brooks, and flower bushes made it very pretty. There were mostly asphalt roads with the exception of one rock road at the front. The bathhouse was clean, showers ran hot and cold water, and the stalls didn't stink.
