What an amazing group of Christian people who love Jesus and their community. Their sacrifice of their time, resources, and energies are unbelievable. Especially, in the current divided climate of our country. While they are clearly and unequivocally committed to their Savior and the principles and values of their religion, they are some of the most friendly and non-judgmental people I have ever met. Their beliefs often are in stark contradiction to those they serve in the community, yet they never seem to allow that to get in the way of loving and investing deeply in the community whether or not people adopt their beliefs or even oppose them. As far as I can tell, they live their lives as faithfully as possible to their beliefs without compromising them in their pursuit of loving those they believe Jesus died for. Quite an exemplary expression of Christianity!

I have attended this camp for the camp meetings ever since I was a tyke. It is a beautiful campground with something for all ages. It is a blessing to come and hear the speakers. I always leave feeling refreshed. The camp has a family camp, blind camp, and much more. I would recommend it.

Camp Wakonda is our family "oasis" every summer. It's where we connect with our Wisconsin church family every year and look forward to new friendships as well! Earl and I have our own unusual "camp ministry", we clean 2 of the 4 Bathroom/Shower Houses on the property. We know what a sense of relief it is to have a very clean, safe place to wash up and bath your family. We started out tent camping many years ago and then we got a cabin we are able to rent every year. Now we have the comforts of home for 10 days! The camp cafeteria caters to vegans and vegetarians. The ABC furnishes families with cases of canned and frozen food as well as books, Bibles, bible studies and games/toys for children and adults. There's a store for T-shirts, hats and 100's of trinkets & memorabilia. We look forward to bringing our grandchildren when they get old enough so they can experience learning about God in such a beautiful, natural setting. I truly believe Camp Wakonda in Wisconsin should set the standard for camp meetings worldwide!
