Features / Highlights

Ammons Branch Campground's appeal lies in its simplicity and natural attributes, offering a few key highlights that resonate with its target audience.

Its "go-to" status for regulars suggests reliability and value.
  • Essential Waste Management: The provision of "bear-proof trashcans" is a significant and responsible feature, critical for safety in wildlife-rich mountain areas and for maintaining the cleanliness of the campground.

Promotions or Special Offers

Given that Ammons Branch Campground appears to be a more rustic and potentially publicly managed (e.g., Forest Service or state park) or very small private operation, specific "promotions or special offers" in the traditional commercial sense are not typically advertised. Campgrounds of this nature usually operate on a fixed, often very affordable, nightly rate.

It is highly unlikely that Ammons Branch Campground would offer seasonal discounts, loyalty programs, or package deals as a larger, private commercial campground might. Their value proposition lies in their natural setting, quiet atmosphere, and potentially lower cost compared to amenity-rich resorts.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on their pricing and any booking procedures, interested campers should directly contact Ammons Branch Campground using the provided phone numbers. Ammons branch is always a go to for me. The outhouse needs a little more maintenance but it’s not that big of a deal if you bring your own TP and such.

We had a great time here. The outhouse was really nice. And there is a small creek close to the campground and a bear proof trashcan.

Not a bad place with a composting privy and a bear dumpster. About 6 campsites are available but the only water source is a small stream located about 100' downhill of the privy. I brought in water.

4 beautiful campsites. No fees. 1 has a very small stream behind it. Campsites are very close together. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. There is a vault toilet and garbage bins. We have Verizon and had at least 2 bars. Park Ranger was very pleasant and informative. Would stay again.
