Promotions or Special Offers

  • "Camp Free" Voucher Program: For first-time RV visitors who have not previously toured with Outdoor Adventures & Venture Out Resorts, Blackhawk Valley offers a "Camping Voucher" for a free 7-night stay (valued at $700). • Membership Programs: The campground operates under a membership model (essentially a timeshare for camping). While involving a purchase, these "Family Vacation Resort" membership packages (ranging from $7,995 to $16,995) offer long-term access to Blackhawk Valley and other resorts in the Venture Out network with no nightly fees. This is a substantial "offer" for those looking for extensive, long-term camping.

  • Seasonal Site Options: For Illinois residents who want a more permanent base throughout the camping season without purchasing a full membership, seasonal sites are available. This offers a discounted yearly rate compared to daily or weekly stays and provides a guaranteed spot. Interested parties must inquire directly about seasonal availability and pricing.

  • Extended Stay Discounts: While not explicitly stated, most campgrounds that offer seasonal rates also provide competitive weekly or monthly rates for those seeking stays longer than a few nights but less than a full season. It is always worth inquiring about these options.

  • Military Discounts: Some information suggests that military discounts may be available, which is a valuable offer for service members.

I pay you guys to be here and enjoy like all else but when you mention to me and my family that we were going over 5mph on a scooter that I was trying to get up hill then went to the basketball court to play ball I have a problem. The problem is that when you mentioned that I passed by your manager in his truck speeding on my scooter he took off speeding himself leaving the property. The nerve to think your above all.

Used to be a beautiful park. Not as much now that it is under new ownership. Members only or seasonals but you have to ask about seasonals to get it. Membership is essentially a timeshare.

My wife and I came up for a free weekend. Daisia (Day) was our tour guide. She was fantastic. All the staff is very nice and helpful with any needs. Day answered all our questions and had a great sense of humor. The campground is very clean and the scenery is beautiful! We really enjoyed the weekend and look forward to many more visits in the future!

This is a great spot by the river. Met the owners one day who told us it went through a huge renovation after they bought it recently. They cleaned up all sorts of trash. You can't even tell. This place is well taken care of and the staff is very friendly and helpful! Rockford doesn't really have much going for it, but there's some beautiful hiking around this campground.

Rating this a 5 based on our RV stay. What a nice campground, surrounded by lots of shaded trees, and the Kishwaukee River in the back of it. Extremely friendly and helpful management, who cooked a great meal for everyone on Saturday! Lots yo do for the kids: playground, miniature golf, basketball, and volleyball courts, as well as Frisbee Golf! Internet isn't the best; but doable. Sites are gravel and level. Space in btwn can feel a little tight off your back side; but very open in the front facing your neighbor. We've definitely stayed in much tighter spaces in other places. We will definitely come back again to Blackhawk!
