Promotions or Special Offers

Pike Lake Campground, being a municipal facility, typically focuses on providing consistent value through its amenities and location rather than extensive, fluctuating commercial promotions. However, the pricing structure itself can be viewed as an offer of flexibility for Indiana locals. While no specific, time-limited promotional discounts were found, here's what to consider regarding their rates and policies that act as "offers":

  • Flexible Rental Periods: The campground offers competitive rates for nightly ($40.00 + tax), weekly ($250.00 + tax), and even monthly and seasonal rentals. This flexibility allows campers to choose the duration that best suits their needs, whether it's a quick weekend getaway or an extended summer stay.
  • No Reservations Policy with Call-Ahead Option: While they generally "do not take reservations," the practice of calling ahead and having a site "ready for us when we arrived" acts as a de facto reservation for shorter stays. This offers a convenient way for last-minute travelers to secure a spot without a formal booking system, though it is always wise to call ahead, especially during peak season.
  • Complimentary Kayak and Canoe Use: A significant value-add is the free access to kayaks and canoes for paying guests, allowing campers to enjoy Pike Lake's waters without the added expense of rentals or bringing their own equipment.
  • Value in Amenities: The inclusive nature of full hookups (water, electric, sewer), clean restrooms/showers, picnic tables, and fire rings, combined with direct lake and park access, provides substantial value for the nightly or weekly rate.

Prospective campers should note the mentioned nightly rate of $40 (plus tax), which some reviewers found to be "a bit more than what we have seen for similar type of municipal campgrounds." However, the comprehensive amenities and prime lakefront location often justify this rate for many visitors. It is always recommended to call the campground directly to confirm current rates, availability, and specific policies.

Nice place to spend a few nights. we stayed two nights while visiting friends in the area. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and level gravel sites with full hook ups. They do not take reservations however I did call and they had a site ready for us when we arrived. There is also a nice walking trail that goes around the edge of the lake. The nightly rate id $40 which is a bit more than what we have seen for similar type of municipal campgrounds.

It's a really nice and clean beach! I took my dog to check things out not knowing dogs aren't allowed. I drove 2 hours to get there, still spent 6 hours there and no one said anything. She was the only dog there so I guess she was a little out of place. It would be nice if they had an area for dogs since they are family too! She had a great time though...lol
