The Oaks Mobile Home Park About
For many individuals and families across Illinois, the concept of a manufactured housing community, commonly known as a mobile home park, represents a distinct and often more affordable path to homeownership. These communities offer a unique blend of personal space and shared living, differing from traditional housing options while still providing a sense of stability and belonging. If you're currently in the Illinois region and considering your housing choices, particularly around the Tolono area, The Oaks Mobile Home Park might be a location you're exploring. This article aims to provide a factual and informative overview of this community, helping you understand what it offers and how it fits into the local housing landscape.
Manufactured home communities often appeal to those seeking a more economical entry into homeownership or a simpler living arrangement. Residents typically own their manufactured home but lease the land it sits on, which can lead to lower overall costs compared to purchasing a traditional house and land. These communities often manage common areas and infrastructure, providing a maintained environment for residents. Understanding the realities of community living, including both its advantages and potential challenges, is key to making an informed decision about your home in Illinois.
The Oaks Mobile Home Park, situated in Tolono, Illinois, serves as one such community. Like any living environment, it comes with its own set of characteristics, and learning about them can help prospective residents determine if it aligns with their expectations and needs for a home in Central Illinois.

Being on US-45 means easy and direct routes for commuting, whether for work, school, or daily errands, connecting residents to various points within Tolono and beyond.

Customer Reviews
I live there and it's loud. With office almost never open and no answering machine, rules don't apply. Inconsiderate neighbors. Can't open windows. The noise of dirt bikes is to loud. Looking to move after 12years.
It's a trailer park. Just think "Trailer Park Boys", and you will know exactly what to expect. There are some nice, new trailers being brought in, but I am sure they are outrageously priced. I had a super small, shorter than a standard single wide trailer and I paid almost 20k to buy it! Lot rent goes up every single year. They finally have a new playground and finally an old MTD bus waiting shelter for the kids to wait on the bus.
They don't plow the streets in there and it's a sheet of ice all winter
This trailer park needs to be condemned. There are numerous cats running around. Most of them are sick and homeless. Lots of cars that do not run, no license plates, slitting on flat tires, broken out windows. Trailers missing underpinning, furniture sitting in the yards, grass that's 5 foot tall, garbage everywhere. It's disgusting. I'm guessing that public health hasn't been there. I don't know why anyone would wanna put their trailer there. Cairn company owns The Oaks and obvious that management does not do their job
I love some of the people there but as a prior resident ,as I have moved, I really dislike how it is constantly dirty and some if the people are either dirty or constantly having people through your yard. I was not pleased with the past faculty or some of the people. There were lots of vandalism also.I am not pleased with any of the parts of The Oaks. I was once walking and found lots of really disgusting things. I am not pleased with The Oaks one bit.
