  • Online Reservation System: Reservations are highly encouraged, especially during peak seasons and weekends, as "all spots were full" during one reviewer's visit. Bookings can be made conveniently through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
  • Patience for Dump Stations: While not a promotion, a practical tip from a camper is to "be patient" at the three dump stations during checkout, or consider leaving earlier to avoid potential lines.

First time staying here. Have drive through in the past. Family from Thomson. Impressed with the shade and quietness of camping. Everyone was very respectful. All spots were full. The only issue was site 110. This is not a good site for a 32’ or longer travel trailer or RV. It is right next to a drainage ditch with a 3’ rocks stacked to protect you from going in the ditch on the drivers side. Drainage on the passenger side. Even with my experience it took a few attempts to get in. Once in. Great shade. Also with only 3 dump stations. Do not be in hurry to leave. Be patient and it will be your turn in no time. Or you can leave earlier on your check out day. Very pleasant experience. I understand why campers come from surrounding states.

A wonderful park and location. Unfortunately we had a problem with the power at the pedestal. The parks infrastructure is old. They are in process of replacing/upgrading all of the power in each of the campground loops. Currently the loop we're in hasn't been updated yet and appears it's just site 120 that has an issue. Caused us a couple of days of using next site overs power until they got ours fixed. Outside of this hiccup the park and proximity to the Mississippi River is just fantastic. Put Thomson Causeway COE on your list for sure.

This is our second time here. The first time we stayed right off the canal the second time right off the Mississippi. Our campsite was 67, front row seats for the sunsets that also meant from 330-730 scorching hot sun blazing on you, it was worth it. Next time I might bring a shade sail. Bathrooms we're ok. I've been to worse. The one by our camp was a single pit toilet and smelled so bad by Saturday. The flush toilets only have 3 toilets and 2 showers but if you time it right the shower will be empty. I'm glad we left when we did, now that marijuana in is legal it was clear our neighbors were smoking it. Not something I want my kids around. We were leaving anyways and that's not the fault of this beautiful campground.
