Customer Reviews
We stayed in one of their cabins and loved it. Bed awesome. The location is awesome close to a nice little town.
Not a bad place a 5th wheel took up two spots blocking an rv from their spot and the park owner manager made us move up more in our pull through spot saying we parked to far from the plug in outlet so the tv can take up some of our place then they had to use our plug in so we had to re adjust our camper to be able to use theirs to have power should have made the 5th wheel taking up the rv spot and their own by parking in between the two spots
We stayed here for a week and some things were very good and some were terrible this the 3 stars. Overall: the campsite looked overall clean and the residents and guests were clean and tidy. Campground is old and some areas not well kept. Site: our site was level, clean and very spacious. We loved it. There were even flowers planted. It was one of the biggest sites we’ve ever had and that seemed to be norm with many of them. Playground: sadly the playground area and equipment are in terrible and unsafe condition. Playground had broken parts to include a missing step and unsecured to the ground ladder. Bathrooms: I found the bathrooms to be on the dirty side. Clubhouse: other than being a bit retro and boring the club house was in good shape and clean. Pool: the pool looked okay. Seemed to be well kept overall but the bathrooms by the pool are a horror movie- awfully old, dirty and just very creepy shack of a bathroom building. Water issues: there were 2 leaks/water issues in the week we were there. One seemed to be something that happens quite a bit (from an annual) the other was handled within a day so that was good. There was boil water advisory. Overall we had an okay stay. If we hear that amenities are improved we would come back due to the proximity to St. Joseph. Very easy and beautiful 30min drive.
This thousand trails is probably the most beautiful park we’ve ever stayed at. I’m giving them a 5 star rating because it shouldn’t be missed on your journey, however, the showers and toilet rooms are dirty. Be sure to wear sandals during your shower and especially in the toilet rooms as the floor is not cleaned well. Aside from the bathrooms, the staff was very friendly every morning during my walk. The campground in clean and well maintained. I never once saw dog poop or any other debris on the lawn. The pool was being cleaned when we were there, but it looked well kept.
The pros: beautiful location on the river. Nice, clean pool. The cons: a water line was broken during our stay. We were never personally informed of the need to boil water. They could have contacted by email, phone, or come knock on our door, but didn’t. The only notice we got was from pulling into the park, and the entry code box there was a sign. We were on a boil notice for over a week during our stay. Not once did they update us or let us know what was going on. Bathrooms were gross; standing water and unsure of how often they were cleaned. Tight entry road filled with huge pot holes.
