While specific, comprehensive lists of services aren't always publicly detailed for established mobile home parks, reviews from long-term residents offer valuable insights into the fundamental provisions and operational aspects that contribute to a positive living environment. Based on customer feedback, here are the core services and amenities residents can expect:
-
Lot Rental: The primary service offered is the rental of individual lots for mobile homes. Residents pay a monthly lot rent to the park, which allows them to place and live in their own mobile home on a designated space within the community. The reported lot rent of $195 a month is considered "very affordable" by residents.
-
Water Service: While historically water might have been included, it is now a bill managed with the park. Residents are responsible for their water usage, which is a standard arrangement in many mobile home parks, ensuring fair billing based on consumption.
-
Property Management: The park benefits from "courteous and friendly management." This suggests that there is a responsive management team available to address resident concerns, oversee maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of the community. A positive relationship with management is a significant factor in resident satisfaction.
-
Common Area Maintenance: Although not explicitly listed as a service, the description "well-kept, most of the time" indicates that the park management is generally responsible for maintaining common areas, ensuring the park remains presentable and tidy.
Antique Acres Mobile Home Park boasts several key features and highlights that contribute to its long-standing appeal and positive resident experiences. These aspects go beyond basic services to create a distinctive and desirable living environment in Monroe.
-
Long-Term Residency and Ownership Opportunities: A significant highlight is the ability for residents to live in the park for extended periods and, in some cases, transition from renting a mobile home to owning it. This creates a stable and secure living situation, fostering a stronger sense of community and investment in one's home. The mentioned example of a family living there for over 13 years and eventually owning their home underscores this benefit.

Affordable Lot Rent: With lot rent reported at $195 a month, Antique Acres is highlighted as a remarkably affordable option for mobile home living. This makes it an accessible choice for individuals and families looking to manage their housing costs effectively.

Quaint and Out of the Way from Major Traffic: This feature emphasizes the peaceful and secluded feel of the park, offering a quiet retreat from the bustling city while still being close enough for convenience. It’s a charming aspect that many residents appreciate for its tranquility.
-
Geographic Layout: The "geographic layout of the park, with lot numbers starting from the right-most side, and increasing to the left," might seem minor but suggests an organized and logical design, making it easy to navigate and find specific lots.
-
Well-Maintained Homes: Even if some trailers are older, they are noted for not being "run down" or having "dilapidated exteriors." This indicates a consistent standard of upkeep among the homes within the park, contributing to the community’s overall aesthetic.
-

Customer Reviews
So, my family and I had moved into this park back in August 2008, and it is now April 2021. The home we live in is now owned by us. We started out by renting the mobile home through the landlord of the home (not the property landlord), and then we were offered to buy our home so we would not have to continue to pay rent for it. The only two bills we have with the park is Lot Rent and Water. And we did not have to pay for Water through-out all those years, but they started requesting it just recently. My husband and I are fine with that. We have no complaints about living here. The one thing we love most about living here for the passed thirteen years is the courteous and friendly management, and also the convenience to anywhere we want to go to. We are so thankful and blessed to have found the trailer that was open for leasing years ago. Our son is thirteen now, and he grew up living in this park and had went to the zoned schools in the area. The park is not too far from some rough areas of town, however, we still feel safe. We still feel included. And we get along with everyone we talk to. We've never caused problems or have seen any problems around here. We lived in many places around the city before our son came along, and several of those places were not great. We are highly satisfied here and it is well-kept, most of the time. The only thing I dislike are the pot holes in the park. If those were filled or fixed, it would be pleasant to drive on the driveway. Other than my pickiness, everything is good. The lot rent is not high, either. At least, not to us. $195 a month is very affordable. I enjoy being a few miles from the main highway and shopping areas.
Nicely upkept, quaint, and out of the way from major traffic. I loved the geographic layout of the park, with lot numbers starting from the right-most side, and increasing to the left. The trailers in the lot may have been a little older, but they weren't run durn and they didn't have dilapidated exteriors. The yards of the lots (where applicable) we trimmed and homey. Overall, a nice place to move a mobile home.
There is a really great Thrift shop in this little community trailer park. It is operated by this nice friendly lady name Calli. She is such a sweet heart. I think the name of the place is Happy Hippie Thriftique. Honk if you pass it.
Happy Hippie owned by Calli Hyams, has TRUE antique items. My second time to be there. Don't have enough time to look through everything. Bought a side table I can use in my office and some other items. Gave me good prices.
It's a nice little trailer park. Pretty quiet
