Promotions or Special Offers

Arbor Vitae Campground, like many well-established and highly-rated private campgrounds in Wisconsin, tends to offer value through its comprehensive amenities and welcoming environment rather than frequently publicized, fleeting discounts. However, there are inherent "special offers" and advantages that make it an attractive choice for Wisconsin locals:

  • Competitive Pricing for Comprehensive Amenities: The single-price full hookup RV spots, including 50amp power, sewer, and water, provide excellent value for RVers. The range of site types (tent to large RV) also ensures there's an option for various budgets and preferences.

These seasonal options are a significant draw for locals looking for a consistent getaway spot.
  • Complimentary Morning Delights: The daily offer of free coffee and donuts at the office is a small but significant "perk" that enhances the guest experience and adds to the welcoming atmosphere, setting a positive tone for each day.
  • Bundled Entertainment: The inclusion of a beach area, piers, a playground, swim area, and the charming "crick" with ducks means that a wide range of family-friendly entertainment is available right on-site, providing excellent value without the need for additional expenses on activities.
  • Early Booking Advantage: While not a discount, the ability to book ahead (e.g., specific minimum nights for holidays or weekends) allows locals to secure their preferred spots, especially popular full hookup or lakeside sites, which can be considered a valuable offering in itself for high-demand periods.
  • Repeat Visitor Loyalty: The strong sentiment of "We will definitely be back again!" from satisfied customers indicates that the overall positive experience and value provided by the campground foster a loyal returning clientele, which is a testament to its consistent quality.

Ah, Arbor Vitae Campground! Nestled near the quaint town of Minocqua, Wisconsin, it felt like a chapter right out of a camping novella for our two-month RV sojourn. As first-timers in an RV, the anticipation was high, but the campground exceeded expectations. **What I Like:** - Versatile Sections: There's a spot for everyone, whether you're in a tent, a trailer, or a big RV. - Sue & David: These two run the front office and are super friendly. It feels like visiting old friends. - RV Setup: Our spot had 50amp power, sewer, trash and water for a single price. Easy to drive in, especially with its location near I-70. - Quiet Nights: After a fun day, the nights are calm. The sky is full of stars, and most nights are clear. - Local Fun: Played a card game with local folks and felt right at home. **What You Might Not Like:** - Closing Time: The place shuts down by mid-October because it gets too cold. - Slow Town: Driving in Minocqua means going around 35 mph. - Far-off Stores: If you need Target or Costco, they're a 2-hour drive away. To wrap it up, Arbor Vitae Campground is a special spot. Quiet nights, starry skies, and a friendly vibe. Even if there's no big store close by, the peace and nature make up for it. Can't wait for next season!

We really enjoyed this campground. My wife and daughter along with my father-in-law and mother-in-law camped here for 3 days towards the end of August. We had sites that were right along the creek that runs through the campground. To be honest this was one of the coolest things as we got to relax and enjoy the running water and my daughter could watch the couple of ducks that hung out there each day. When other campers with children came in there was a lot of kids “running through the creek” but let’s be honest what else would one expect? We even saw a couple of bald eagles 🦅 in the campground. The bigger bathroom was super clean and the showers had a lot of hot water. They also had a family bathroom up there which was nice for bathing our 18 month old. We rented the pontoon boat on the Saturday we were up there and it was a good price. The only issue with it was the fact that it “chugged out” from time to time and the engine would fail. It would re-start up though right away. In the end, this was a great campground and we decided to make it an annual tradition to stay at the campground as we really enjoyed it. The owner was really nice and would deliver wood to the campsite each day as well. He was there to help whenever you needed it which was great. I wonder what the cost of a perm ant campsite is per year & if it comes with a boat slip?

The owner is WONDERFUL! He made us (group of not so experienced campers) feel like we were right at home, he not only helped us set things up but was so friendly and made good conversation while doing it! I would recommend this campground to anyone! The bathrooms and showers are so nice and clean, it really made camping so much more enjoyable since everything was so clean! We will definitely be going back! Great job Don, we had a wonderful time!
