Annually camp there with our motorcycle sidecar club. Nice spots, each has its own picnic table, fire pit. The owners have a nice little store on the property and are very friendly and helpful. Well maintained. It’s very close to the Townsend Dam swimming and recreational park…. Highly recommend
Feb 25, 2025 · L MThis is 1 of our favorite places to go. The family that owns it make the campers like part of the family. the location is perfect and nature there is the best. Its right on the river, close to the dam and so many things around to feel comfortable. The owners are always around somewhere on the grounds and are always trying to accommodate the campers. Love everything about this place. The people and the nature is impeccable.

Sep 09, 2025 · kevinssacoIf you want peace and tranquility this is the place! Very laid back....I read some reviews before I went, yes the bathrooms are old and yes sometimes you can't find someone in the office but it's no big deal! Family owned and very friendly. Just relax and camp..
Aug 08, 2022 · Maria LoeffelI use to have a trailer at this camp ground for years. It really is a great camp ground . They have their own store with all the essentials. Plenty of trailer spaces on the river. It's an Amazing tubing river As well the townsend dam opens up. I believe it's once a day and you're able to tube down. the river is not very deep, mostly shallows, but just enough water to Go.now. It's a good 2 hour float from the d*** down to the bald mountain campground, it's great. They have a club house too.Where quite a few different organizations put on like square Dance. Etc. Bathrooms are always kept neat and clean. Highly recommend this little gem.
