Grout Pond is a hidden gem and was absolutely beautiful! Some of the best fall foilage in the state and bunches of gorgeous mushrooms to find along the way. The path around the lake very well maintained.
Oct 27, 2023 · John SullivanWhat a magnificent little place. This was like the winter wonderland I always envisioned as a child. It’s so quite and peaceful. The air so crisp and fresh. Nov 18, 2021 · KM FMStayed here this past February. Despite there being snow, the road was plowed enough for us to be able to find a spot to park and set up camp for the night. There was also plenty of parking for those looking to hike and xc-ski. Overall, a great experience for winter camping!
Apr 19, 2024 · Ethan GuertinStayed here end of September and had the place to ourselves. Very quiet and beautiful place. We were starting a section hike of the AT the next morning so the location was ideal. Fairly moist area it seems so finding dry wood was an issue. We did get a fire going but took work. Recommend bringing some dry kindling to help out at bare minimum.
