Customer Reviews
A very nice, smaller campground. While clean and plenty of hot water, the facilities are a little older and could use some TLC. Camp host was super nice. Didn't have a chance to do any hikes, but they look like good trails. I was in #13, nice view of the lake, I think #16 is the prime spot. Highly recommended!
We arrived Monday May 19 to a quiet empty campground with no check in, ranger or host. Our site was completely level. It's huge and flat. There is a nice path down to the lake but it is overgrown. We sat outside with a nice breeze and watched two bass boats on the lake. The bathrooms are old and need to be updated. We only have water and electricity at the campsite but the dump station is available on the way out for the sewer. Feels very remote. It says that Beaver Dam campground is part of the Kisatchie National forest but the headquarters is 2 hours away. We will kayak the Caney Lake today!
Quiet clean campground. The stars are many and bright at night. We always make this place a must stay on vacation. Hosts are very accommodating and helpful. But the campground road needs to be repaved!!! It is narrow and has potholes. Please fix it... repave it!
Beautiful! Clean bathrooms and well stocked with toilet paper, soap, paper towels, hot water, flush toilets. Showers independent of toilets in separate individual shower room. Verizon has 2 bars consistently. Mike the host went above and beyond answering questions. Definitely be back.
We camped here two nights November 2024, $30 water/elec. National Forest Campground. Pretty, well maintained, has some age but bathrooms are clean. Campsites are large and private. Hiking trails, we hiked the Caney trail 5.6 mi. mostly level ok for bikes. Two lakes with boat launches. A little tricky to find using GPS, it takes you to a fork, and you will need to turn right. T-Mobile ok. Data a little slow but can stream on your phone.
