Nov 19, 2023 · Steve SawickiCampground is gated and states closed for maintenance, says the state. But a phone they stated the campground will only be used for group camping like the boy scouts
Apr 30, 2025 · BRIAN LOONEYAs of 5/20/25 the gate is closed and there's a sign "closed for maintenance".
May 21, 2025 · Tim SmithVery simple weekend get-away. Printed off and signed the permit, but didn't have a visitor from any rangers that caused us to need it. Arrived on a late Saturday morning at the Bicentennial campground and was able to secure a spot. Recommend arriving earlier to get the lakeside spots though. Nice scenic views. Vault toilets were clean, but they are what they are. Highly recommended if you are into boondocking. No cell service on Verizon - great way to force yourself to unplug.
Oct 02, 2018 · David LawtonLoved it! Great place to get "unplugged". We had almost no cell service unless we went down the road about 10 miles. So nice to hear nothing but the bullfrogs croaking, fish jumping, and great conversation with my family :)
